We had a wonderful stay at 1000 Islands campground! The campground was clean and beautiful, and the staff couldn't have been any friendlier. I highly recommend this campground and we can't wait to return. Thank you so much for all the help when arriving!!

We almost booked another campground up the road after reading one particular review, but we decided to try Thousand Islands Campground—and I’m SO glad we did! We’re a full-time traveling family of five (plus a dog) in a 40' fifth wheel, and we’ve learned that smaller, privately owned campgrounds are often better. From the moment we pulled in, we knew we’d made the right choice. The sites are level and spacious, full hookups are provided, and the playground was a huge hit with our kids (5 stars!). A short “secret” trail leads to the neighboring state park beach, and the campground even has a state park pass you can borrow to skip the entry fees to the many other parks nearby. What truly set this stay apart, though, were the people. Manager Maria and camp hosts Bob and LeeAnn went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They engaged with our kids (something we deeply value), shared pages of notes on local places to explore, and made our stay feel like home. Compared to the newer, more “resort-style” campground nearby, Thousand Islands Campground is beautifully established, with mature trees and a warm, personal touch. If you value hospitality, community, and a charming, well-kept property, you’ll be very well taken care of here.

From booking to leaving our stay was absolute perfection!! All of the staff was accommodating at booking for the weekend, the ENTIRE campground is beautifully manicured! Not a blade of grass out of place! Our cabin was clean, smelled like pine, comfy bed, and amenities were as listed. Bathrooms and showers were so clean and well stocked. We'll definitely be back! Thank you to all the staff they made for a great stay

The owners are wonderful! Very accommodating and very kind. We will definitely be camping here again. Close to all the local attractions. Bathrooms are very nice and kept very clean.

This was the cleanest campground I have ever camped at. Rest rooms and showers were well maintained and the grounds never had any litter anywhere. Very relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff and other campers were just as friendly.

Clean rest rooms. Camp hosts are very friendly. Close to Clayton and Alex bay. Very quiet at sundown....now I know why.....mosquitoes are brutal when the sun goes down. Bring some bug spray. WiFi is painfully slow. Sites are pretty close together.

For some you may not like the sites because they are narrow and long so there is no privacy. Your neighbors camper on one side or grassy patch on the other side is literally right next to your camper and grass patch. Hopefully you have quiet neighbors. I'm used to wooded campsites. Full hookup is nice. Especially for the price. Sites are hard gravel and flat within an inch or two. Firewood is on site. Ice is a 3 min walk to the front. Roadway is gravel and narrow. Please go SLOW. Despite the narrow sites we had amazing hosts and camping residents! Nearby... Plenty of ice, food, snacks and ice cream WALKING DISTANCE ! Places to get anything you may have forgotten to bring are a 5 min drive away. Alexandria Bay is close. Fishing I believe is nearby. Places to bike and walk are accessible by walking/riding off site. Lots of people use bikes, e bikes and golf carts to go down the road a bit so be mindful on the roads The pub/restaurant next door is AMAZING. Even though we do not like the small sites we will come back to this campground.

Great campground very clean and orderly. Bathroom and bath house are excellent and the cleanest i have seen in a long time. Staff are helpfull and the walking trail to the state park next door is conveniently marked. And let's not forget the Gals place deli and ice cream stand the line is totally worth the wait. And the prices are like 10 years ago. So you don't feel like you need ky after paying.

Fabulous campground and hosts. Extremely accommodating, very friendly and remarkable at their attention to details. Nicest and cleanest bathrooms I've experienced at campgrounds. Our tent camping site was large, surrounded by scrub trees and private.

Super clean and well maintained. RV sites are fairly small and close. Not the most privacy, but everyone was super friendly (staff and campers). We chose here because it was not crazy expensive and didn't need all the fancy amenities of a resort type facility. Bathrooms and showers were cleaned constantly. Convenient store at the entrance with great sandwiches, baked goods (pies!!), and ice cream.

Very clean, excellent location, friendly staff, quiet campground. Great places to walk, the path to the state park is a huge plus. These folks really k ow how to take care of this campground and it shows. Love coming to freshly mowed sites with cleaned out fire pits. The sites are a little tight but that is everywhere these days. Great place for your thousand islands adventures.

Very nice campground, Hopefully you won’t experience rude people playing music loudly on their speakers after “quiet time” , but if you do , alert the campground host and they are quick to respond. Great place for kids, even better place for anglers, like my husband and son. Located conveniently to St. Lawrence River. Highly recommended.
