4 Eagle Ranch

RV Park

Overview

Overview

4 Eagle Ranch offers a unique, authentic Colorado experience for RVers looking to escape the traditional resort circuit. Located in the picturesque Eagle River Valley, this working ranch provides a rustic and charming backdrop for travelers. Rather than a cramped parking lot, you find yourself surrounded by wide-open spaces, historic buildings, and a slower pace of life that perfectly captures the adventurous spirit of the Old West.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in Wolcott, Colorado, the ranch is conveniently located just north of Interstate 70. This positioning offers dramatic mountain vistas and easy access to the luxury of Vail and Beaver Creek without the high-traffic noise found in the resort villages. The surrounding terrain is characterized by high-desert sagebrush and rolling hills, providing a distinct, sun-drenched contrast to the dense evergreen forests found further up the mountain passes.

Amenities & Park Features

The RV accommodations at the ranch are designed for those who appreciate simplicity and scenery over modern luxury resorts. Sites typically offer full hookups or water and electricity, along with access to clean restrooms and showers. One of the most unique features is the on-site 4 Eagle Winery, where guests can sample local varieties in a historic setting. Evening campfires and stargazing are essential parts of the stay, as the low light pollution reveals a brilliant night sky.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Adventure is never far away when staying at the ranch. Guests can participate in horseback riding tours right on the property or enjoy the thrills of nearby zip line courses. For winter travelers, the ranch is famous for its festive sleigh rides. Beyond the ranch boundaries, you are just a short drive from the world-class skiing and dining in Vail Village, as well as excellent fly-fishing opportunities on the banks of the Eagle River.

Who This Park Is Best For

This location is ideal for travelers seeking a peaceful mountain retreat rather than a highly developed RV park. It is perfect for families wanting to give their children a taste of ranch life or couples looking for a romantic, quiet basecamp near the mountains. If you value wide-open spaces and historical charm over swimming pools and busy clubhouse activities, 4 Eagle Ranch will fit your travel style perfectly.

Love, love this sleigh ride + dinner experience. Go hungry and ready to spend a couple of hours in a cozy lodge. My husband and I have done this 3 times over the years and have had an exceptional experience every time. I wasn't able to go this year, but we sure missed it this season! Book it, you won't regret it!

Best thing going on Avon/Vail area. If you are tired of overpriced, bland yuppie food and ugly cookie cutter buildings, go to 4 Eagles. Phenomenal, hearty food that tastes like it was prepared by a human that cares about their craft. Beautiful log cabins tastefully decorated. Fun horse ride with gorgeous scenery. Amazing live music. Antiques, wagons, campfire, s'mores, hot cocoa, and a full bar. This felt, tasted, smelled, sounded, and looked like Colorado.

We could not come to the Ranch early because part of our group where skiing. I will recomend you do it early so you can appreciate the ranch. By night still there is a lot of charm in the building. Every one is very kind, you arrive and they offer some choices of beverages. Then they take you to ride the wagon. Winter season has been warm, so not enough snow for a sleight ride. Instead we took the wagon pulled by 2 beautiful horses. Our guide explained the history of the ranch making our ride interesting. When you get back you can take photos with the horses. Then you are invited inside for a great buffet. There is live music by an awesome singer. So take your choice and visit the ranch, all of the money they earn goes to charity so you are enjoying an experience and helping at the same time

I reunited with my military buddy in Colorado in beginning of December. This trip was added to our final farewell; the last dinner and sleigh ride. What an amazing ending to our reunion. The staff was so awesome and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. The ambience was picture perfect. And I especially loved the musician who sang good classic country music. The sleigh ride was the bonus for me, and I enjoyed hearing the history to it, not to mention the delicious hot chocolate they had for the ride.

We had a magical evening here as a family in November during shoulder season. There wasn’t enough snow for our sleigh ride dinner but they use the wagon for no snow days. The beautifully decorated barn had a delicious Buffett with live music. The camp fire s’mores were set up and the kids had a lot of fun!
