For a change of pace, a short drive south leads to Burlington, Iowa, where you can visit the historic Snake Alley or enjoy local dining and shopping along the riverfront. 4 miles down a gravel road, electric sites, water and pit toilets. Was very quiet

Visited this place because my siblings almost drowned here when they were 5 or so (50 years ago) while camping with family. It haunts my dreams from time to time and I wanted to see the real place again. Nice campground and the beach where swimming was once allowed was not in sight. Must have reclaimed it and it is no more. Hoping the dreams go the same way! Lol.
