My husband and I have been camping at Acadia Shores RV Campground, in our motorhome, for five times in the last ten years. We enjoy this campground because it seems mostly suited for Senior Citizens (which we are). There is no swimming pool, playground, or arcade, all of which attracts young children. The campground is super clean, the lots are spacious, and the views out onto Flanders Bay, and across the Bay to Cadillac Mountain are priceless. All sites have electric and water hookups. The honey wagon can be scheduled for dumping at a modest price of $15. Although this campground is located right off Route 1, the sites are far enough away from the highway so that noise from traffic is minimal. Watching the tide changes, the shore birds, and the lobster boats coming and going is very relaxing. Besides Acadia National Park, there are numerous other interesting sites to visit. The new managers, Gloria and Michael, are friendly and helpful.

Would never recommend this rv park. The manager and his wife were the most rude people we have encountered during the last two years when we have traveled coast to coast and everywhere in between in our motorhome. The issue was arrival time. During the initial phone call I was asked if we could arrive by 6. As we began our travel to Sullivan we quickly realized it was going to take longer than we originally anticipated. I called and talked to the male manager this time telling him it would be closer to 6:30 which I thought he was okay with. During our drive we encountered a bridge closer which added time to our trip. I called a third time telling them we would do our best to arrive on time. Never once was any mention made that we would be charged an additional $50. We arrived at 6:47 and was immediately told by the male manager that he hoped I had enjoyed my dinner out because it was going to cost me an additional $50! My "dinner" consisted of me flying into the Walmart and grabbing a loaf of bread and some frozen peas so we could eat a sandwich and peas for dinner, and not eating out so we could get to the park as soon as possible. In my opinion these folks running this establishment need some help with customer service and compassion. If I had done my homework and read the reviews prior to making my reservation I would have never stayed here. Apparently, this is an on going issue with the people at Acadia Seashore RV park.

My husband and I were traveling the east coast when we unfortunately made a reservation at the Acadia Seashore RV Resort. When I spoke to the manager initially I told her that we should arrive between 5-5:30. Due to a road being under construction, we were delayed. I spoke with the manager as well as a second phone call to her husband explaining our situation. When we arrived at 6:47 I was told we would be charged an additional $50 late fee. Never once, in our 3 phone conversations was I made aware of this policy. Not only did they fail to let me know of their policies, they were so rude and mean to me when we arrived. I would NEVER recommend this RV park to anyone. On a side note, the shower drains were plugged with hair and they did not have locks on the shower/bathroom house doors, which made me feel unsafe. Had I read the reviews before making my reservation I would have gone elsewhere. My husband and I have traveled in our RV from coast to coast. We have had wonderful experiences. NEVER, have we been treated so poorly. Apparently, this is an ongoing issue with the staff. I would highly recommend their staff have training in customer service as well as learning compassion, which I guess is not something they have. Do NOT stay here, read reviews.

Michael and Gloria were the best hosts ever. It was our first time to Acadia and our first time traveling that far with our RV. Gloria gave us great recommendations and maps. We didn’t miss a thing! We also couldn’t have been happier with the campground itself. Super clean, convenient location, gorgeous scenery, peaceful and quiet.

Great RVpark on RT 1 on the water. Quiet well run park with some sites on the water. Some road noise can be heard from RT1 , but I didnt think it was a problem. Very pretty scenery. Clean bathrooms , plenty of hot water in showers, good WIFI. Our hosts Gloria and Michael Kelly were personable and knowledgeable. Tracys Seafood is right next door and good. Gloria had plenty of suggestions on where to go and eat. One place under the radar we found was Seal Cove Antique Car Museum. This is no small collection , its top level. Cars , motor cycles , bikes , many older than the 30s. A car enthusiast could loose themselves in there for hours. Worth seeking out. Its near Southwest Harbor.

We enjoyed our stay here. The sights are gravel and site G was pretty level. It is about an hour from Bar Harbor which is far enough from the crazy. Very close to Schoodic Peninsula. We came at the end of the season, they were not even close to full. The staff is out and about constantly and the park is clean and organized. Lights out at 930pm so you can enjoy the stars and boy are there stars. Upon arrival we were treated to a 15 min what is in the area briefing that was very helpful.

We stayed 4 nights at site 30 and it killed me to have to leave!! Location is perfection; quiet quiet quiet. Easy to get to the National Park. The friendliest and helpful staff gave us so many fantastic recommendations. 5 minute walk to a lovely seafood dine in / take out. Super clean bathrooms, great water pressure, laundry, and the cutest camp store. Sunsets were divine. It seems this campground draws a certain type of folk who respect and appreciate the raw and rugged beauty of the area. We will be back!!

We found out last minute our original campground didn't have bathrooms or showers. We were lucky to find this place. Quiet, well run, and a great view of the sunset and the water. Everyone there has been very friendly.

Spent a week at Acadia Seashore Camping & Cabins (Sept. 2024) as we have for the past 10 years. Super friendly and helpful staff (Gloria & Michael) were always available and maintained the entire campgrounds in impeccable condition. The campground offers wonderful views and is perfectly located for trips to Acadia National Park and a variety of excellent nearby dining choices.

Would give more than 5 stars if we could! Acadia Seashore easily made our list of favorite campgrounds this trip. From the friendly, informative check in process, to being led to our site and assisted with backing in, we were so impressed with the kindness we were greeted with. The campground is immaculate… it is evident they take a lot of pride in it. Gloria answered our many questions and helped us make our time in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park memorable. We cannot wait to come back!

We stayed here for 2 weeks in September 2021. The owners are very conscientious about keeping this campground clean, quiet and well-maintained. We felt very well-cared for as their guests. The location is away from the hustle & bustle of Mt Desert Island, but close enough that the commute is relatively convenient. And there are many sites on the Schoodic Peninsula (a short drive in the other direction) that are a must see. The beautiful & calming view of Flanders Bay was wonderful to come home to after a busy day of sightseeing!

So exceeded our expectations in every way. Love the request for people to use as little lite on RV,s as possible. Really helps the place feel like a campground and not an RV show. One of the best camping experiences we have ever had. Will be back. Got kids that need to run around, not the place for them.

Here I sit looking out onto the sparkling waters of Flanders Bay, watching yet another glorious sunset from site 10. We are so thankful to have had the blessing of spending the last week at Acadia Seashore Campground. The setting could not be more beautiful, overlooking the bay and all it has to offer -- wildlife (eagles, osprey, gulls, loons, seals....), lobster fishermen, tides rolling in and out.. Sue and Peter have taken the natural beauty of the area and have made it a place of hominess, comfort and tranquility. From the carefully groomed sites to the lovely pots of flowers around the buildings, to Sue and Peter's friendly conversation and helpful hints about the area, we have felt right at home during our stay. If you are looking for a place with natural beauty, peace and quiet, and warm friendliness, I highly recommend this campground!!

We stayed at this park over Labor Day weekend in 2021 and although it’s a bit away from Bar Harbor, it was well worth it! We loved everything about this park. It’s immaculately groomed, well managed and the views are amazing! The owners gave us suggestions on restaurants when we arrived. We even had an issue with our dogs barking (completely our fault) but they worked with us on suggestions to keep them quiet (which worked!). I would definitely stay here again!

Wow! Pete and Sue are just plain fantastic! Over and above on everything. Accommodating my requests. Showing me how to use my rental RV. Jumpstart my car. All with polite and smiles. The location is incredible. Saw ospreys and bald eagles fly right by. So nice to be away from the craziness of Bar Harbor access road.
