Nice campground in a lush setting. Raised walking paths winding through the woods provide great possibilities for exploration. The only downside was an unfortunate encounter with fire ants. OUCH, but not bad enough to knock off a star. This is a great place with a very accommodating and friendly host.

I love the park, the bike trail is a lot of fun. There are basketball and tennis courts, as well as frisbee golf and workout stations. The walking path is huge. The playground is not the best, some shade trees would have been a good plan, and the only covered pavilion is really small for such a large park.

Nice campground in city limits of Lafayette, LA. They have a nice playground, lots of shade and quiet. We will definitely recommend and return ourselves.

A hidden gem! We spent one night here on our way home from Florida. We didn’t expect much, but were very surprised by how clean the park is, how nice the amenities are huge kids playground, boardwalk thru the bayou and nature center, clean yet basic shower rooms and of course huge oak trees. It’s full of Louisiana Acadian character. The friendly park manager Jared, came over to our site and told us how he is on a mission to bring the park back to be the attraction it once was. If you’re passing the area and need a nice, inexpensive ($28) night stay or in the area for some time, I’d give this park a try. BTW- Definitely call ahead as the manager isn’t always on site, but he can arrange for you to get into the park if you call first.

Excellent wooded campground inside Lafayette. Miles of quality walking trails and quiet park. Bathrooms need a code, gate locks after dark (key code entry). 30/50amp service and water at every pad. 1 dump station on the way in/out of the park. No pads have dump stations. Go check out the museum! Great playground for kids.
