It could be the time of year we were there because the bugs never stopped biting

We rented a tent site for us and the cabin for my son and his wife. The cabin was clean and cozy. It's just a room with a bed, chair, futon, and some board games. There's a barbecue on the front step. Bring your own blankets and pillows. The kids said the bed was comfortable. Our tent site was great. No water or power at the tent sites. We were up on the hill with a view over the campground. It was quiet at night. Our set up is completely self sufficient so we didn't have to walk down to the washrooms but we did stop in and they were very clean, especially compared to average campground washrooms. The little restaurant does good fish and chips.

We stayed at this Campground and ate at the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised how great everything was. The check-in process was very laid back, we were told to pick out a site an let them know once we were all setup. The tent sites are in a wooded area and offer a good buffer between each site for privacy. The trailer sites are in an open field area. As for the restaurant we noticed how busy it was all the time and looked to be a popular spot so we gave it a try, it did not disappoint. The seafood chowder was probably the best we had on our trip around Nova Scotia and the staff were super friendly. This place is very low key and laid back, perfect if your looking to relax and take some time away. We would definitely camp and eat here again!!

Amazing place to camp! We spent 2 nights there and ended up returning for another 2 nights. Stunning view of the Harbour with lots of fun places to explore close by. Great friendly staff and yummy food at the restaurant. Ritestop just down the street has wood and ice and serves a cheap and tasty breakfast.

we had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. their menu had not many varieties. the staff was alright, however it took almost an hour for them to serve just fries as appetizers. it wasn't very crowded at the time of our arrival. we ordered their veggie wrap which again took a long time to be served. the wraps were tiny and had very little vegetables, the coleslaw was okay and had a huge heap of fries. it was like we pretty much paid for the fries in the name of a veggie wrap. it was an overpriced lunch for nothing. our visit to this place significantly backlogged our schedule for that day.

Great home-cooked food, with very nice staff. We had the hamburger, fish burger and mozzarella sticks. All was delicious - good coleslaw, the hamburger was seasoned perfectly and the fries were fresh and crispy! They also have homemade desserts written on the chalkboard. They also have showers and laundromat, great for campers coming from Chignecto, or those staying in the Fundy Tides campground.
