Wonderful little campground. The staff is super friendly and the campground is clean. The beach is great for kids as it's shallow so you don't have to worry about them going into deep water. It's also just a short drive into Long Lake.

Possibly the most beautiful nys campground, with a large Sandy beach well maintained & generally nice staff! Experience largely depends on neighbors & if they have loud dogs or kids but staff will address issues if you have any! Awesome staff & park manager! Give them praise $ a raise! I Yay NY parks!

They’re in the process of updated the campground. We had a site right on the water. Had to walk down a small hill to our site. It was worth the walk.

This was my first ever camping in the states. We went there in a group of 4 on may 20th weekend. It was forecasted for rains that happened and we were prepared with our tarp. The only thing we were not prepared for was the wind. It almost blew our tent away had it not been for us in it. Lol. So if you taking the site next to the lake, plan for it. The fireplace was nice and different from the usual circular structure. The staff was super friendly. They have a place for disposing off the waste. No signal(T-Mobile)/light signal (Verizon) in the area. You'll have to step outside for a mile or so to get it. Nearby town can provide firewood and other things you might need for camping. Overall, it's a beautiful place and a must visit if you like to go camping. More than enough trails and hikes near by for you to explore as well.

This is a beautiful location. The campground sits on Lake Eaton which is fairly shallow and very sandy on the campground site. The three staff that care for this campground are friendly, helpful and hardworking. The facilities are rustic but well kept. The roads are a bit rough. The sites are generally good sized with a picnic table, and fire pit. Some sites are sloped so look carefully. There are many lakeside sites here which makes putting in kayaks and canoes easy. This is a very breezy lake. The wind starts at daybreak and continues u til sunset. We didn't see any bear activity but we did take all precautions and so should you as they are definitely nearby. There is a variety of water fowl. The beach is not monitored so swim at your own risk. However the water is very shallow at the beach area which is nice for all. There is a sand volleyball court. No playground or other equipment. Cell phone reception is spotty depending on where you are but 1-2 bars for Verizon and AT&T.
