Excellent campground! Clean bathrooms, not too fancy but everything you need. Great sites, nice design for the fire pits. There’s a fully ADA accessible site which we didn’t need but is a great option. Canoeing was superb, and ample access to trails. Very friendly staff, helpful. When we brought a loose post to their attention it was fixed within a day.

Very nice facility. Well maintained, staff available and helpful. I especially like that the sites are a decent distance from each other and it is well shaded throughout. The lack of cell service is a plus for me. Good location for many hiking trails throughout Pharoah Lake Wilderness Area. Mosquitoes are a problem but that's true throughout the ADK.

Highly recommend!!!! Under rated! Under populated this time of year! Our campsite was fantastic and so quiet! We would 100% come back here. Reminds us of some primitive camping we did in Michigan. Water throughout park, dump station, no electricity. Nice to bike around the park. Again, highly recommend!

I found this campground last minute, it honestly was great! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our campsite was very clean! The showers are nice, very hot water! The bathrooms were clean. All the other campers were respectful. Nice quiet campground. My only question was if we could hike the trails surrounding the pond with a dog since the sign said no dogs in day use area? I didn’t know if that was just the beach area or all the trails around the lake? I would love if someone answered this for me. Overall, great trip! We are looking to come back in the fall!

We stayed for 10 days and had a blast. It was so nice to be able to access a substantial body of water to explore that was calm enough to take our 7 year old out in her kayak. The fishing was superb and quick access to all the hiking trails was great. Camp staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was great tree cover, which was something we were looking for after staying at Schroon Manor last year which had a lot of open grassy areas. We had site 48 which would be great for a small tent maybe 2 but it sits on a hill that has quite a pitch that is difficult to navigate. The site itself has a drop off on one side, and a giant rock that takes up most the site. The site also has a lot of tree roots which makes it hard to find a good spot to anchor a larger tent. The site does have a trail directly to the bathroom-another camper told me this but I wasn’t able to find it. The bathrooms are adequately cleaned & maintained. Shower stall #1 on the women’s side in building 6 is the best.

Stayed for 3 nights at the end of September. The campground was not crowded at all and we had campsite #8 (not the remote site #8, which is different). The staff were very friendly. The bathrooms and shower room were clean. There are 5 shower stalls in the shower room but they are private enough. The hiking around the campground is excellent and one does not have to go far for beautiful hiking experiences.

Putnam Pond is great for kayaking and fishing. There are some great hikes of varying difficulty, and many of them lead to beautiful swimming ponds. The hiking trails are also loaded with mushrooms if you go during the season.

We had an amazing experience at this campground. Beautiful are with lots of hiking and kayaking. And the sites are spread out nicely so your not to close to others. We will definitely be coming back!

Super chill spot with so many hidden gems, was there 2 nights and didn't scratch the surface. Great place for those who like to backpack/hike the ponds. Really beautiful place!

Beautiful campground in the Adirondack woods. Spacious sites ,well spaced apart in woods. The pond in pretty big and looks like fun to canoe or kayak in.
