My fiancé used to stay at this camp ground growing up when it was Crazy Horse. He was excited to take me here until we arrived to our camping cabin. I completely understand that these simple camping cabins are not supposed to be the highest quality but they could have at least been clean. This cabin was absolutely disgusting. There was dust everywhere. There was old tin foil with food on it still on the grill. There was food on the porch. The shower drain stopped up and had to stand in water. the shower curtain was black it was so nasty. We attempted to go to the shower house to take a shower because ours was nasty, but the bath houses were a disaster. No curtains on half the showers and trash everywhere. At the end of the trip, I went to the contact page adventure bound management wants guest to use to reach out to them about issues instead of writing a review. I finally received feedback apologizing for lack of staff to keep the cabins clean and was told we would receive a refund for our stay but we never did. Very disappointed that not only was had to stay in such a disgusting place, but was lied to by management about issuing a refund. We wanted to give this campground another chance, but unfortunately we will not.

We were there on Halloween weekend. This is our first time camping there. It was a lot of fun watching the kids trick or treating. That was the good part of the weekend. There were kids riding golf carts all day and night, up until 2:30 in the morning. Drunk people everywhere, a man was so drunk he ran his truck into a tree, his wife was so drunk she had to have help just to get in their camper, one site was handing out candy to kids and Jell-O shots to adults. The people behind us were drunk and cussed all night. They finally either passed out or went to bed around 3:30 in the morning. There was no one even trying to quiet down the Roudy people. The bathrooms were nasty, and so were the showers and cabin that my sister in law was staying in. There was dog hair all over the comforter. We will not be going back there again. This seems to be a place for people to get drunk and party.

Stayed at Adventure Bound for our Oct 2025 visit to the Smokies. We spend all our time outside when we camp in our tiny camper. And we don’t have a bath in this trailer, so bath houses are important to us. (I’m now including bathroom pics in all my campground reviews.) We arrived Friday and departed Monday, and the bath houses were not cleaned at all during our stay. The floors were never swept, one of the 2 hand soap pumps stayed empty, and the showers were not cleaned (same hair wad was in bottom of a shower stall all days). I think the large trash may have been pulled though. The bathrooms could be much nicer if they were just better maintained and cleaned regularly. I don’t expect a luxury level, just clean. I will say the ladies at the front desk and the maintenance guy (who was always working and driving on the green John deer) were VERY nice. Kind, friendly, and always smiling, they were all wonderful! I would give them ⭐️5 stars. Also, the streamside site was really nice to sit and listen to the water. And site 136 is wide and flat. 👍 We stayed here to hike the Alum Cave trail, visit Cades Cove, and walk up to Kuwohi/Clingman’s Dome at the Kuwohi visitor center. I also recommend stopping at the Chimney Picnic area and the Ben Morton overlook. I’ll have to add reviews for those, too.

My daughter and I had never been camping before and , frankly, I was not excited. This campsite turned out to be a great experience. There were 5 of us camping together and I would 10/10 recommend, especially if you’ve never been camping before and you’re low key scared. Bathrooms The bathrooms and showers up by the main building were very clean, the shower was warm, and was a short walk from our campsite. The bathrooms and showers next to the playground were pretty gross, smelled strongly of pee (bathrooms and showers both). Location 20-40 minutes from Gatlinburg and on the same Parkway; 45–55 minutes from Dollywood; 36 minutes from the Island/Tanger Outlets. It’s on the other side of Gatlinburg and is an absolutely beautiful drive if you go up and around the mountain. Plenty of scenic overlooks that are worth the stop. Campsite Plenty of room here, it’s not on one of those rocky platforms. It’s just ground. Which hurts a lot if your air bed has an unknown hole in it and leaves you fighting for your life the first night. It is camping though, right? Second night was great with a patched hole. Main building Where you check in has an incredible stock of items you might need while camping. Outlet converters, hammocks, sausage, drinks, fire starters, and so much more. Stuff for RV/campers that I couldn’t tell you what they’re for. They also have ice cream up there and FREE coffee. Yes, coffee. Without being dramatic, it saved my life. Carla Speaking of the main building, Carla, who works there, is incredible. Very kind, accommodating, knowledgeable, and just a fun person to talk to. She was very helpful. Entire campground This was a pretty packed campground without feeling crowded. We walked around the whole place and saw so many campers/RV’s. Some really cute campsites on the water, overlooking a creek on a little dock, playground, fishing pond, cabins that felt secluded.

I’d like to start this review by asking Adventure Bound to please not suggest that we write on the contact page of Adventure Bound website. It obviously doesn’t do much good judging by the negative reviews. We started out in spot 99 - I made the reservations and picking this spot was my fault, not theirs. They kindly moved our spot to 175. The spot itself was just fine, away from all the craziness of the main parkt of the campground. Our main problem was with the restrooms. They were all very dirty and not maintained. The men’s bathroom had 2 missing shower/privacy curtains, and the 3rd one kept coming down and my husband had to continually fix it. The garbage was not emptied daily and floors were a mess. In the women’s bathroom, the floors were disgusting and the showers were not cleaned. On our 5th day there, we finally complained. I told the young woman behind the desk about the bathrooms and she said she hasn’t cleaned them yet today. I made sure she knew they haven’t been cleaned at all since all the garbage that was on the floors in the shower area has been there every single day. Once I said that, she had a very distinct attitude change - not necessarily rude but definitely didn’t want to deal with us anymore. We used to bring our kids here when it was Crazyhorse Campground and it was nice back then. We will not be returning here again as we found a beautiful, small, very well kept campground while we were in the area.
