Good campgrounds, clean restrooms. Close to trailhead down to Agate beach.

This was a great place to camp! The sites are mostly cut right into the forest, so each one feels secluded. Each one had its own bear box to keep food and garbage safety secured from bears! With the easy walk down to agate beach!

Absolutely beautiful location to enjoy the northern CA coast and have close access to the Redwoods. We stayed in one of the 4 cabins, which are conveniently located near restrooms and the beach access hike. Showers are about a 5 minute walk away. We checked in at the main entrance to the state park and were given the code to the door. The cabin was clean and everything was in great condition, besides some broken slats on the blinds. There were 3 outlets in the cabin, which was perfect for our needs. The electric wall heater kept the cabin plenty warm at night. There is space to park directly in front of the cabin, as well as a fire pit. Firewood can be purchased from the camp host nearby. We loved staying in the cabin and would definitely return to this beautiful place!

This campground and this park are amazing! There are so many beautiful views and hikes and trails of different difficulty levels. Agate Beach is huge and wild feeling and the sunsets are amazing from down there (unless you're fogged in which is also beautiful in it's own way). This next part is specific to the AGATE CABINS...1) bring a sleeping bag AND pad... There are no mattresses, 2) bring your own camp chairs (there is nothing to sit on inside - we used a food bin for a table), 3) bring quarters for the pay showers if you want one - I found $1 was enough for me...i think it's $1 per minute and 4) I saved the best for last... Bring an electric kettle!!! The cabins have electricity and an adorable electric wall heater. You can plug in your electric kettle for all the hot chocolate, oatmeal, ramen, and dishwater you want without leaving your cabin!!!! You will still be washing dishes at a spigot and sharing a bathroom camping style so be prepared for that. We loved it!!!

Awesome and beautiful campground. There are a lot of stairs when hiking, but we'll worth it

This was one of my best camping experiences. The campground was quiet at night and the place was clean when we arrived. The bathrooms were kept up and the trails are amazing. Highly recommended for camping!

Lost a star because the ranger said they were full when they actually weren't and a Blue Jay stole my hotdog from the picnic table. Do not leave food even for a sec or it will be gone. Also, like other CA campgrounds, the showers are pay-to-play..bring quarters! Dave (Camp Host) was very friendly! Thank you Dave 😊. All in all it was a beautiful area with sounds of the ocean to lull you to sleep...who could ask for more? Will stay again!!

Patrick’s Point area is beautiful! The campground is situated as just a loop around the upper part. Near the hike down to and the expanse of Agate Beach. Waves for days. The campground itself left a little to be desired. Very clean if old facilities. Pleasant staff around in off-season. Not fancy by any stretch and not a hookup to be seen. Okay, it was wet and dark and damp on the days we stayed and that’s not the campground’s problem. But it still felt a little weary and socked in. Don’t miss Ceremonial Rock or Sumeg Village - fun little hikes from Agate Campground. We ventured every day of our stay - really lovely. Trinidad is a 12 minute drive and has some fun food options, plus utility stops like post office and groceries. Closest laundry is Eureka - 40 mins. While it wasn’t our fave State Park campground - it worked for us, we’re glad we experienced the region, and honestly it was the best option for us passing through in a 24ft travel trailer. Quick tip: go for sites in the 110s/120s for more privacy and better access to facilities.

Beautiful campground, clean place. Many hiking trial can go from the camp. You can hiking down the beach or the small mountain top. Both trial is easy. Though the mountain have the few step is deep from the top downward.

Agate campground is nice campground on the north side of Patrick's Point State park, with about 38 slots. We were there in March and it was not full. You can access the Rim Trail that flows around the park quite easily. The Rim trail will also give you access to all the view points in the park. The bathroom in the CG had flush toilets and were pretty clean. The surrounding area was clean too. The camp spots were nice and spacious and most were level. Beware the trash panda's, we had a few visit while we were sitting around the campfire. I shooed them away but the didn't seem too intimidated.
