After a couple of not so pleasant experiences here, nice to find out they cleaned out some of the long terms. Kelly helped us a lot in finding the right site to suite our needs

Once in a while someone goes out of their way to make your trip easier and enjoyable. Shout out to Kelly at the Alameda Fairgrounds Rv park! We had three separate reservations, (not the way we normally do reservations!), and Kelly saw this, and made it so we wouldn’t have to hook up multiple times and move during the week. I can count on one hand how many times someone, who honestly doesn’t have to do anything, has gone out of their way to just help. Alameda County Fairground, you have one heck of a fine employee in Kelly! And to top it off, we arrived on a hot day, and as I was checking in, I made a comment about coming back later and getting a bag of ice. Kelly passed by, while we were setting up, and asked if we’d like her to bring us that bag of ice. Thank you again! Kelly brought our receipts and we were able to cool off quickly!

We knew California was going to be pricey to RV through, but 76.50 for the fairgrounds seems more than what you get. It is a convenient place, so we stayed for a week, that would be a month stay in many places. We had booked online and when we got there the spot we had been assigned to via email had someone in it, so the office had put us in another spot. That spot wouldn't fit our fifth wheel so I asked to move and they were gracious and moved us to a pull through site with room to park the fifth wheel and the truck. The laundry room has 4 washers and dryers and is clean, the restrooms were clean. The gate house has security 24/7. The staff was trying to get people to respect the "clean up after your pet" rule, but we don't even have a dog and there was dog poop on our site the entire week. If you are a walker or jogger, there is room to get steps in around all the parking lots at the fairgrounds. We camped at The Fairpark RV Campground Alameda County Fairgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

This place really needs some work, in fact it’s a little scary. There is a new area next to the office that is really nice but as far as the old section, don’t think I’ll stay again. The rv s that are there seemed to have been there for a long long time and look pretty rundown. The office is nice but there are not a lot of things for sale on the shelves. The staff was really nice and helpful. The laundry room is ok, I do like the fact that the washers and dryers are controlled by an app where you can pay as well. One of the washers was broken and according to a “local” she said it’s been that way for awhile??? The men’s shower was disgusting! There was mold and holes in the walls and one shower head was missing. No shower curtains so disgusting there was not even a chance I’d go in there and catch something. If the entire park was like the new section and they fixed the bathrooms and showers it would be a really nice place. Oh yeah and maybe get rid of the old long time residents and only allow short stays.

This is a quiet and safe RV park. The Fairgrounds are nicely kept and the county is expanding the RV park right now, so the general store isn’t open at this time. Once expansion is completed, the NEW general store will open. Showers and laundry facilities are on site and water, sewer and power are at the sites, some sites with 50 amp service. There is a section for RV and boat storage next to the new expansion, also. Located in the Fairgrounds, there’s off-track betting, a driving range, 9-hole golf course and a horse racetrack. There’s dining available at the Clubhouse, Turf Club and Cafe, all located within the fairgrounds.

When we arrived there were no shower curtains (which they did fix after we expressed our concern) and there were also no locks on the bathrooms. Didn’t feel super safe, and why they were missing the shower curtains is because someone stole them. Other than that everything was fine.

Nice large area for RV's of all sizes here. I guess there are lots of things going on here. Wife is happy about bingo on Saturday. People are amazing as well. If I ever come to California again, this will be the place!

Only stay here because it's the only RV park in the area. Sites are not very level and poorly maintained. Rules regarding standards are not inforced.

Not their fault but I never made it inside because the lines were so long...maybe it is because they didn't have enough people to check bags or process sales fast enough...I didn't bothered to go in during Night q

Great staff makes the parking lot experience much better. The staff are super friendly and not in that "I have to be nice" way. The facility is very basic. Gravel, dirt, dry grass for rv spots. Lots of additional parking, decent laundry and shower facilities, power and water included in the reasonable prices which helps a lot. Very large open grass areas to walk you dogs or whatever. Location is ideal for the surrounding area.

The concert was great, however the venue was a little disappointing. First we are not usually ones to complain, but there are things that were pretty clear on the web site, like no vehicles over 70 inches high in the VIP area. Trucks and tall Suv would need to be in the back so that others could see the stage or screens and hatch backs would have to be closed so people could see. However, that was not inforced so for some it made seeing any of the concert difficult. That said, We had a awesome time our space was perfect for 4 people, we brought dinner with us and lawn chairs it was a lovely evening and the opening band was really good also! Thank you for the opportunity, hope there will be more!
