Beautiful park situated in walking distance to the beach. The sand on this beach was so silky soft, only a few people wandering since we were there in October. Only downside would be the amount of ticks we had to deal with while there. I get it, there are deer everywhere and wildlife galore but this was almost too much. We picked 10 ticks off our dog the 1st two days we were there and that wasn't even walking the trails or tall grass, just around the RV park itself. We'd definitely come back, just a heads up to other campers. Staff were great, very helpful and easy checking in. Super close to downtown Caseville, lovely little town. Overall beautiful area.

Our stay at Sleeper State Park was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and friendly, and we were thrilled with our campsite location—right in front of the playground. It was the perfect spot for our family, surrounded by tall trees and nature all around. The trails here are beautiful and well-marked. We explored both the Deer Trail (about 2 miles) and the Candlestick Trail, which offered gorgeous scenery and peaceful walks. There was also a shorter trail decorated for Halloween, and our kids had a blast exploring it! One thing that truly stood out was the bathrooms—they are the cleanest I’ve ever seen at any campground. Our family ended up using them the entire time instead of our onboard Class A motorhome bathroom. The campground itself feels tucked away in the woods, with plenty of trees and privacy—it doesn’t feel like a typical open campground at all. Just note that the sites have electrical hookups only, so no direct water or sewer hookups. The beach is just across the road, easily accessible via a walkway that connects the campground to the shoreline. It’s a short, easy walk, and once you’re there, the view is stunning—the sand, the water, and the sunset made it a perfect day. Every campsite is close to a restroom, and the whole park feels safe, clean, and family-friendly. We had an unforgettable time here, and I can confidently say Sleeper State Park is one of the best campgrounds in Michigan—a perfect mix of comfort, beauty, and nature.

This is a lovely gem of a park right on the water! The campground was nice and peaceful. The beach did not disappoint!

Beautiful state park with nice camping lots. Clean bathrooms and a pleasant overall atmosphere. Felt like being to North, but much closer to home!

Nice camp ground! Showers on one side could use an upgrade but are still nice and acceptable, no problems with hot water when I went. Some of the campsites are a little hilly so pay attention if using a tent. Park rangers that I had interactions with were nice.

It's an easy campground with easy access to anything and everything. My only complaint is that they don't really advertise what is available and around you. As well as the campsites are smaller than expected. Not everything is bad, campground offers a great and well kept bathroom as well as designated dog areas. If you are looking for a quick weekend getaway I would suggest this all day. Otherwise, when busy, it's cramped and wide open, so you see and hear everyone.

A Michigan Huron Lake Must, nice pavilion, campground across M25, bridge and stair for safety. Beautiful beach, clean, you will want to stay forever, recommend for young families, and couples learning coastline, can't wait to go back. RESTROOMS clean, showers, and parks nearby.

This is a wonderful park if you are looking to do an extended vacation or you live and hour or so away and just want to get away from home is a hop, skip, and jump away. Some of the sites when you view the design and photos on the DNR reservations website are deceptive so it is my recommendation that you scout the sites in advance. The sites in the area numbered 18-58 and 95-125 have some low sites that could hold water. All things said it's great camping lots of friendly people and a golf course close by and great areas to kyak.

I love this place! Wonderful beach and a great campground across the street. Campground can get a little noisy but I like grabbing sites near the back if you can get them. It can be hard to get a site, which stinks for locals that want to just go camping on a whim.

I've really enjoyed my time in the campground. The staff is very friendly and so extremely helpful. The trails are beautiful and full of lovely nature. The beach access across the street is great. And it's nice to have the option to take the bridge over the road when you want to go to and from the beach. My only issues were that the showers need a bit more attention. One of the showers smelled like mold, and one bathroom stall wouldn't lock. Aside from those few things, I really enjoy this park, and I will definitely come back!
