Nice trail that, early in the year, seems seldomly used. West side of the Swan Lake and Creek is a better work trail, but watch out for thorns off trail. East side path is non-existent at times, so follow the ridge. Water was accessible most the whole route. Bugs were bad in the afternoon, but cleared up at night... Be prepared.

I've been squirrel hunting the Allegan State Game area for over twenty years. Many great memories, hunting with my daughter, as well as my friends and their kids. We've camped in the forest, as well as both campgrounds numerous times, and always come away feeling refreshed, and blessed to have had the opportunity to be at one with the great outdoors. Thank you for your efforts, Game Area personnel!
