Horses will welcome you along with Mule Deer and great views. The staff are exceptional people and all accommodations were amazing. Coming back several more times if not making it a permanent family trip destination.

For us, we were looking for a quiet place to get off the road and Recoup. Along the river was a perfect place for us to stop. Beautiful grounds. Wonderful staff. This place is a jewel.

For the most part it we had always camped in Bonito Lake area but that part is gone due to the the Salt Fork fires. So this year we did some digging around to see where we can camp still kind of close; this is on the other side of Bonito lake and away from burn/danger and it is away from ruidoso main area where the flooding has been happening. We camped one night here and it was perfect, the sister of the siblings in charge helped us check in and it was a warm welcoming experience, super friendly! The next day it started pouring down, we were going to go hike into Ruidoso area but we found out it started flooding there to an unsafe point so we stayed in our campground. We met and talked to the brother of siblings in charge and again so friendly and super helpful with great energy! Luckily they had a last minute cancellation so we switched to the bunkbed cabin on the campground and oh my god it was perfect!! It just little enough for my family with no bathroom or kitchen so it was basically a wood tent for us and we still had the camping experience cooking outside and walking along the creek. (There is super clean restrooms next door) It was perfect for my toddler for her first camping experience and we didn’t tell our teen about the WiFi so we still got to escape a little. I had to write to tell everyone about this gem because will definitely be returning here and with how close and safe it is to us, we will probably be coming more often to either camp or bunkbed cabin! (They also have a regular cabin for those glampers) We would have been safe camping with the rainfall but still nice we got to experience both. Seriously nicest people, all campground is run by a sweet family and great vibes. They have a control of the bugs around their campground which honestly is something we come across at many places naturally plus they have CLEAN restrooms/shower in case you need them. 10/10!

I've been here for about a month. The owners are great. I explained I was bringing in a bigger trailer and taking out my other trailer. He was ready to trim trees and do what he needed to to accommodate it. People say the spots are small but you could fit a normal trailer in the small cargo trailer next to one another and would fit. Not to mention the sites can accommodate 45 ft toy haulers. It is a beautiful location and honestly makes me want to buy a house in the area. Love this place and I have moved all over the country and been to hundreds of RV parks for work. It is expensive but for where I am it is worth it. The river isn't flowing right now because of lack of rain. But still beautiful. You got a big lake to go fishing at 4 miles away, and hiking trails within minutes.
