Older campgrounds founded in the early 1930s. Camp owners are more than helpful

Have family that stays every year, and this year I’ll be getting my family’s own lot! It’s a very homie family friendly place, lots of respectful people. Lovely place for family to spend time together. The owners are very nice and very careful to keep children safe. There is a fenced in pool open to all campers , laundry room, gathering pavillion, . Bathrooms and showers as well.

The park is mainly for seasonal clientele, but they are more than happy to fit in travelers if sites are available. Much work has been done to address the negative issues mentioned in the very old reviews. These issues are not a problem now. Owners really seem to care about their guests. Some people are never satisfied. The Park has easy access to the western side of the Berkshires, Albany, and Troy, NY. They are "Big Rig" friendly, pull-through, full-hookup sites. Enjoyed our stay here for 5 days. These sites have easy access to four private individual shower/bathroom areas, with one being an extremely well-thought-out handicapped-accessible area with a roll-in shower. There are lots of things to see and do in the Albany-Troy area. This is a great area for antique shopping and hiking. A nice and quiet campground, water pressure is average for the New England area, it's there... but you're not going to blow out any fittings. They have a nice covered common area with a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, sink, Webber, and a couple of Blackstone grills. The pool was crystal clear and inviting. It is also KID-FRIENDLY. A 35-Amp site is currently $45, and a 50-Amp site is $55 per night,

Overall it is a nice quiet campground. Lot is grass & dirt, somewhat level, had to use a block. Bathrooms are Not cleaned daily, no paper towels, no handsoap and the exhaust fans are so caked with dust, they're a fire hazard just waiting to happen. It's a shame because I would have given this place a 5 star had they maintained the bathrooms properly and had the office open daily, at least for a few hours.

Spent time visiting friends at their campsite at Alp's this previous weekend (7/4/25 & 7/5/25). I was severely disappointed in the lack of care for the patrons and their guests in regard to rules surrounding dogs. My children and I witnessed dog fights on more than one occasion in the same day, the barking was nonstop and could be heard throughout the campgrounds at all hours. Even with the current policy for leashes and "no excessive barking", there was no enforcement of the current policy. No one should have to shield their children from watching dogs attack one another or listen to incessant barking. Moving forward I think the campground owners should be more present and enforce their policies regarding animals, possibly even screening the animals upon arrival to the campground. It's quite a shame, it's such a nice place and I was considering looking into getting a site for my family but not when there's safety issues that aren't being addressed.
