We camped 3 nights at this campground. The staff were phenomenal. Very helpful. The campgrounds need some work to get it up to date. The management and owners are relatively new and are working to upgrade the facilities. The staff need to develop a better system for being reached during times of office closure. Our phone calls went to voice mail instantly and no one was in the office at times. Long term campers have fallen into disrepair and need to be replaced. The pool was absolutely amazing. Quiet and peaceful location close to excellent bike path and Crystal beach.

This was our first outing to South Algonquin - Roots RV Resort and it was amazing! The site was fantastic, what a beautiful view of the lake. The washrooms and showers were always clean and no line ups for the showers! The general store and little snack bar was a bonus for those items you forgot, or a scoop of ice cream and some fries. Thank you so much to Heather who made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions. The other two gentlemen who work at the resort were also very helpful. Will be back again!

Such a great time at the Amazing Rocky campground. To start, the office staff are top notch, super helpful and available when you need them. They went out of their way for us and it was very appreciated. We stayed for a week with our RV and felt it wasn't enough time! The seasonal campers are also super friendly - offering to help, let us know about events and even dropping off some watermelon for our kids. Very warm and welcoming. The pool is kept warm and there were two great playground structures for the kids and a basketball court too. The public washrooms were a quick walk from our site (#6) and had free showers and lots of hot water. They might benefit from an additional bathroom/shower nearer to the river. The absolute most amazing part was the river! The swimming is absolutely phenomenal! They have a natural rock ledge to swim from or a they have built a wooden platform and a bench to sit and watch other swim or you walk a little further down and walk in (it is rocky though). My son's favourite (he's 8) loved the jumping cliff most of all. We estimate it was about a 12 ft jump and it was super deep, so no worries about injury. Little ones will need their life jackets as throughout there is no bottom or ledges unless you swim at the rock ledge. The water was absolutely perfect and super enjoyable! The paths down to the river are well kept and easily walkable. Overall a really great park!

This is our second year as seasonal campers at Amazing Rocky Camp, and we truly can’t say enough good things about it. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home. The park is well-kept, peaceful, and perfect for families. Our kids absolutely love it here—there’s always something fun for them to do, whether it's biking around the park, swimming, or joining in on weekend events. We've made so many great memories and friendships over the past two seasons, and we’re already looking forward to many more! The staff are friendly and helpful, and you can tell they genuinely care about the campground and the people who stay here. The sites are spacious, and the natural surroundings are beautiful—just the right mix of relaxation and fun. Amazing Rocky Camp has become our happy place, and we’re so grateful to have found it. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family-friendly, welcoming seasonal campground!

This was our first time there. Management Doug and Cindy, Welcoming and friendly, assisted us from check in to check out. Sites well maintained/ bathrooms cleaned regularly. Fun activities for both adults and children to choose from all weekend. Everyone friendly and made us feel like part of their family. This is the best Family Campground I've ever been to that is welcoming and friendly with everyone and something to do for everyone. Our whole family had a wonderful time. We definitely will be back again!
