We had a fantastic weekend at Ames Brook Campground! We had a tent site, and it was beautiful and secluded, while close enough to the immaculate restrooms and firewood for purchase. We were coming from the Manchester area, which was a very easy trip. We appreciated the proximity to restaurants and stores for food/supplies, but still felt like we were on vacation and could really "check out". We didn't do much outside of sit at our campsite, listen to and look for creatures in the brook, and enjoy a quiet weekend. 10/10, would stay again!

This is a pretty nice campground in Southern New Hampshire with fairly spacious lots. Although I will say in walking around it appears 1/3 to 1/2 of the campground are seasonal lots and some of them are really nice. It also has a pool in seasoned firewood for sale and a nice little nature trail. All the roads and sites are gravel with the sites being pretty level overall and almost all the sites are shaded. I will also say some of these sites require some pretty good driving skills to back into as the angles to back in can be relatively sharp. They have a small camp office / store and a pretty nice laundry as well as a small playground for kids.

Stayed here a few weeks ago for 3 nights for my birthday with my family and was very happy with the size of the campsite we chose. There is a nice short nature walk and a treasure hunt for gnomes to keep the kids busy. Everyone we met was very friendly. The pool was clean and "refreshing" which isn't bad for a late August trip with cool nights the week prior. Bathrooms were clean, the office team was great and even called us to see if everything was ok because we were going to arrive after normal check in times. They left our check-in packet by the door for us, which worked out well. The office does close on a Friday around 4~5, but it's not an issue. Wood is available 24/7 via a camera recorded honesty box, which worked out for us because we showed up close to dark. I'll revisit this campground again in 2026 for sure. Great site for a good price.

This was one of the delightful campgrounds we have been in! We booked in two weeks to explore the Lakes Region and surrounding area; this was a great stopping off point. There is an upper area with rigs closer together for those who like neighbors; we were past the bridge into the woods for a real quiet experience. They have woodland trails, nicely groomed for walks along the brook, a pristine pool with some cushioned lounge chairs. The owner obviously takes great pride in keeping everything neat and up to date, the staff was also so pleasant.

Ames Brook is an amazing campground with awesome amenities and events! The staff are super nice and chill. The environment is beautiful. Luxurious restrooms/showers. Family friendly. I have run sound for their Grateful Dead event featuring Not Fade Away, and the owner and band are great to work with. The attendees had a blast. I would certainly recommend this place!
