Amicalola Falls
Amicalola Falls is a 729-foot (222 m) waterfall located within Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville, Georgia. It is the tallest cascading waterfall in the southeastern United States. The falls are located within the Chattahoochee National Forest and are part of the Appalachian Trail. The name "Amicalola" is derived from a Cherokee language word meaning "tumbling waters". The park offers a variety of activities, including hiking, camping, fishing, and picnicking. Visitors can also take a scenic drive along the Amicalola Falls Scenic Byway, which offers stunning views of the falls and the surrounding area.
