Two Shea’s Journey
We really enjoyed our stay here. We were in site number 8. We were able to book this campground at the last minute. The staff was friendly and helpful. The site was large and well shaded. There are a number of seasonal sites but things were very quiet at night. They have a pool that looked nice, we didn't use it though. Great location to hit both sides of the White mountains. Very close to all the attractions. We would stay here again.

We loved our experience camping at Ammonoosuc Campground. The sites were really large and you didn't feel packed in like sardines. You can tell the owners take really good care of the place. The sites were immaculate as were the bathrooms and laundry facility. We were thrilled when we stumbled upon the outdoor games! It was the perfect touch. We would absolutely stay here again the future.

We were treated extremely rudely by Ellen and her assistant. We were accused of breaking a rule but when we asked about said rule they couldn’t point it out in the rulebook. We felt like they talked down to us like we were kids but we were only polite and proactive guests during our entire stay. We just came up to climb Mount Washington and were barely at the site but just to sleep. We kept our site spotless and were respectful of the campsite and other guests as well as the staff. It’s odd for their default response to be degrading and irate over courteous and understanding. Oh and the money grab. Instead of one campsite with a camper and two tiny tents they wanted each guest to pay an additional $40 a night. We ended up staying all together but that was after some negotiation. Why not just have the rules clearly listed on the site for all types of campgrounds beforehand?? There’s so many other campgrounds that we plan to stay at instead for next time. The site was great, but the service people were extremely rude so we won’t be back and will tell our other hiker friends to avoid this site.

We were blown away by the beauty of this campground and the kindness of Ellen & her husband! The check engine light came on when we arrived and Ellen helped us to find local sources to get things sorted out. Meanwhile, we relaxed in this quiet, peaceful site! The campground is located close to so many beautiful spots and we will definitely return one day! Truly a slice of heaven!

We had the most wonderful experience at this campground. We stayed for one night headed to Bangor, all the way from Atlanta. We were welcomed by the lady at the front desk (forgive me for forgetting her name) who was LOVELY. So kind, warm, and inviting. We were one of two tent campers surrounded by RVs but it felt very safe. The site was clean and quiet. After setting up camp, we made some dinner and enjoyed washing the dishes in a very clean dish only sink. We then went on a walk around the grounds and met all of the super kind residents. We also played with the outside games that were provided which was unexpected and SO FUN!!! We had a quiet nights sleep and took a lovely hot, clean, and **free!!** shower! We would really recommend this campground if passing through the area. Thank you for making this such a lovely experience for us!
