This was our first time coming to Anchor Down and it didn't disappoint. The whole layout of the resort is well thought out. We came in the fall so the lake was lower and pool was closed which we knew about ahead of time. The fall colors in the mountains were amazing along with incredible sunrises made the trip even better. We have been looking forward to this RV trip all year and can't wait to come back.

This is a famous luxury RV resort. Each lot has a concrete pad and at least 50% have stone fireplaces. Most sites can view Douglas lake, so beautiful. Last night was Halloween here and so many children and adults dressed for the occasion and many people passed out candies. So many decorations!! The staff are so helpful and friendly. The people who stay here are from all over the country and all are friendly and wonderful.

This is a wonderful RV resort. We have stayed here twice and will be back. The staff in the office is so friendly. It feels very safe as they monitor who enters the park and if a parking pass is not visible staff is sure to find out who is on the grounds. It rained while we were gone and they stopped by our site and put our firewood away to make sure it stayed dry. Compared to most campgrounds there is a lot of space and the views are beautiful both lake view and on the hill. Close to Dandridge and Pigeon Forge too.

What a combination of beautiful grounds, convenience and good service.. our stay here was such a relaxing time. They go out of their way to make you feel cared for every step of the way.. Mike, Skyler & Hunter helped us load our heavy bike rack & bikes when my husband was recovering from a back injury.. offered to do more! They wouldn't take a tip! Great place.

We really enjoyed our visit. Would love to come back when we have a bit more time to see some of the things ha we missed out on because of the weather. The dog park was great Teddy loved to play on the toys. We would have liked to have taken the kayaks out but we had bad thunderstorms. The sites are nice and spacious. Loved that some have fireplaces. The only thing was it was hard to breathe when several neighbors were all burning wood at the same time. This could be an issue for people with bad asthma.
