AVOID RJOURNEY RV Campgrounds Want to see your site fee go up $30 from a published fee? If so, this is your campground. Rjourney charges a $20 “booking fee” , “Credit Charge Convenience Fee” and local sales tax. So a $59.80 site fee, already above the normal, turns into a $89.59 total charge. Problem is corporate owner. Local host was very friendly.

Not as advertised. Neither the person who took my call nor the person who checked me in bothered to inform me that both restroom/shower buildings were CLOSED AND OUT OF ORDER. I’ve been an RVer for 20 years and never had a campground fail to inform me of something like this. The third person I spoke with was apologetic and nice. Buildings were shabby. No bags at the dog park; glad I had my own. Rec room was locked. The views were great: trees and grass everywhere you looked, nice meadow.

Paid for full hook up site. Website said water turned on for FHU sites on April 01, our stay was on April 13-14. No water hookup, no reduction in price. So we tried to use the restrooms in the campground to conserve what little water we had in our tank. RESTROOM FACILITIES WERE LOCKED. No signs to tell how to get access. Never again at this campground.

This place was not a pretty place like I expected probably because nobody was there. Did not like the rule that we can't use a mat outside even though the grass is not even there it's just mud. We had a major storm early in the morning for the tornado watch and the storm shelter was locked! April obviously is not a good month for campgrounds we will avoid this one next time. The benefit to this place is that it's off the main interstate easy to get to good for one night only.

Will never stay at a RJourney again. The booking experience was terrible. Went online to book a site and the website indicated that I should call to book that specific site type. After calling and booking, I was charged an additional $30 booking fee. On the phone, the telephone agent told me that the fees were « convenience fees and Uncle Sam charges ». Only after receiving the emailed receipt did I realize that they charged $30 for a phone booking. That’s quite a « convenience fee! » and since I booked same day, it was too late to request a refund. Be very aware of the questionable business practice that RJourney uses.
