Overall our experience was good but there were some issues that others need to know and management should be ware of. Bob the maintenance man was great! He helped us with a minor cable TV issue, he was fast and friendly, that really made our day. The campground was clean and peaceful. Beach access was good and the pier was a nice amenity. We were disappointed in the close proximity of the sites. Our picnic table was literally 3 feet from our neighbors septic line, the campground store was not open although there were employees there, apparently doing nothing. Even though the campground was about 90% occupied and the pier snack bar was closed even though the pier was packed with fishermen and pier walkers all day. The ice cream shop was open sometimes, closed a lot but when it was open the employee was looked like a homeless person sitting on a stool chewing on his fingernails so we didn't buy any. Many of the campers had cluttered sites with blue tarps stapled up on the picnic covers and one had walled it in with nasty looking plywood. Many campsites were just redneck and a lot of dogs and dog pens. We will probably give it another try due to good proximity to shopping. If management would work a little harder on obvious issues, consider opening the trading post and snack bar and tighten up on site rules, maybe make a few new rules.the trash collection was odd you put trash out by the road and it's eventually picked up so there were garbage bags and boxes full of beer cans by the road all day, I think a trash collection site would look nicer than just tossing your garbage out at the road.

We had 2 sites with campers in September. Loved the cleanliness of the campground. Employees were very nice. Used the pool and splash pad along with the beach and pier. Had takeout from the restaurant for 11 people. Highly recommend the grouper bites. This was our second time there and will definitely be back.

I don’t even know where to start with Apache Family Campground. This place is seriously outdated and looks like it hasn’t seen a renovation in decades. The roads are a complete nightmare—potholes everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Driving through the campground feels like an obstacle course, and to make it worse, there are a ridiculous number of speed bumps that make it even more frustrating to get around. And don’t expect friendly service. The staff were rude and unhelpful from the moment we arrived. It honestly felt like we were bothering them just by checking in. Hospitality clearly isn’t their priority. For a place that claims to be family-friendly, it’s disappointing. Save your time and money—there are much better campgrounds in Myrtle Beach that don’t feel like they’re stuck in the 1980s. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Great place to take your camper & enjoy the beach! Very nice campground. We enjoyed the pier & arcade! but the bath houses could use a upgrade (bath house #1 ) especially , we had to use this one our water heater quit working in our camper :( we also tried using the bath house on G too and it was pretty much the same as the other, broke shower head & broke knobs to turn the water on & off.

Nice place to spend couple of days. The beach is not the best if you like to get into the water. There are currents, turtles and sharks 😮💨 We saw 2 medium sharks and a fisherman got a mini one. Please be aware, if you make a reservation through their web page there will be only 2 spots available. I recommend to call directly and ask what is available and where in the map. But we enjoyed the sunrise and walking on the beach with our dogs. There is a lot of fun around, including go carts. Just 5 minutes driving. There is a Pier to fish and walk. Also a mini arcade for kids to have fun. There is also a restaurant. Good food and prices. Recommended. Will come back.
