Nice, quiet RV park with beautiful views and close to Tombstone. Also, the Buffalo Soldier museum is on base.

I hesitate to give the FamCamp a 2-star rating. The Campground itself is quite nice (albeit a bit weedy). The Staff is friendly and helpful. The laundry room is well equipped and fairly priced. The Shower/Restrooms are nice.. and clean. My reason for the rating is the ridiculous rule in place that limits your stay to 90 days, and then you must leave for 30 days before you can return! @@@ I'm a Disabled Vet with severe PTSD, and live in my RV full-time. Packing up and moving is very Stressful for someone like myself.. So it's not something that I like doing more often than necessary. ### For the past three years, I have stayed at Gila Bend AFB FamCamp for six months at a time, Oct-Apr., which is great. >>> I was hoping for a six-month stay here, and then return to Gila Bend... but NO; the "rules" in place prohibit that. The Irony is that the Campground is at about a 15% capacity.. there's a whole lot of empty spaces. I could understand the 90-day stay limit if the place was full, and people were chomping at the bit to get in. Seriously MWR.. you'd rather minimize Revenue and loose loyal Campers ?? You could at least have flexibility based on utilization.. which right now, is dismal.

Very nice RV Park. Lots of wild animal late night activity ie: Javalina, Coyotes and Deer! The javalina will hang out under your Travel Trailer and spook your Wife & Pets! :-)

Great campground for military families and affiliates. It was very quiet. A couple of coyotes in the area so be careful with the small dogs. There’s a small playground, a tiny dog park, bathrooms with showers and laundry room and a dumpster station. We enjoyed our stay while exploring the area.

This is really a nice Fam Camp located on Fort Huachuca, SE Airizona. It is right outside Sierra Vista, Az which is a nice town with all your big box stores. Currently it is about 25% full here. All full hookup. Some sites have shade. As you can see, I have a shade cloth on my awning for the morning sun. They have a real nice laundry room here. You do need a military ID to get on post where the RV resort is located. Apache Flats. The post offers a lot of hiking trails, and of course PX and commissary. A lot of wildlife, be alert to the Havelinas. If you do not might the 6am bugles and bugles through the day with helicopter flights at night, you will love it here. You are about 45 minutes from Tombstone.

Because most of the reviews here are so high, I feel the need to balance it out. Our dog and several of the other dogs have difficulty walking on the rough road around the camping spots. Although I don’t baby my dog, I had to carry him once in a while. There is a sidewalk that winds across the camp ground and that is smooth cement. There are trails outside of the camp which are better for dogs feet. We arrived on a Sunday and Monday no one was in the office because she took a day off. Another day, a small camper came in and wanted to camp but Brenda in the office said there were no spots available. That night there were empty spots available in the park. Just a heads up to be sure you have a reservation. One commentor said that there was no gym, but if you are eligible to stay in this campground, you are probably eligible to use the fully stocked gym on base. I hope these additional comments help someone.

The resort was great. Very clean and well maintained. Staff was super friendly and willing to answer any questions and even make phone calls to get information for other activities.
