It was ok. The food was good. The service was very good. We wanted the crab buffet, but they only have it on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month. We did not stay in a room. The casino is small. It looked like there were only penny slots, though.

It was ok but the staff were not that welcoming. The Golf course has been closed for years as is the pool. There is no outdoor area to enjoy a cool drink and soak up the wonderful scenery.

The room was great. The casino is small by comparison but includes all the fun stuff. We got there by way of 260 East and 188 South which is a fabulous drive past Roosevelt Lake!

Pretty darn good for a 3 start hotel. Our bed was actually very comfortable, and you can tell they have updated the place in the last few years. They have some fun machines in the casino, not to shabby.

Reservations were in place days prior as we were headed to New Mexico from So Calif. Rooms excellent. Staff alot more approachable than staff in casino. We arrived around 1am MST no problem checking in. Although we had long drive we thought to unwind and try video poker and various slots. We lost $200 within a hour and a half. We got hungry and went to only available snack bar in the casino. We encountered the most bothered, rude, inpatient, mumbling to herself old woman, Nellie . I wanted hot chocolate, she said machine broken , I then asked for egg muffin. Nellie said, as looking at the ceiling, not available until 5am. (It was 4am) by this time. We finally got our order of hamburger and hot dog. She took our money with no comment or thanks. We waited 10 -15 mins. Went to counter to find a hand written note, it was shift change and someone would return at 5am. We weren't gonna wait any longer for our food, I was able to find someone in the kitchen, who bought out our food..if not we would still be waiting like fools. Nellie needs to either go back to charm school and get some people skills and personality or RETIRE as she seemed miserable and very unhappy with her job and visitors. We are the paying customers, you would think a better attitude would be displayed not being treated as a bother witnessing her huffing and puffing. Nellie also refused a local older man when he asked for a candy bar. Shooed him off. She needs to be removed. This experience really affected our opinion of Apache Gold and it's hiring techniques. We could leave our money elsewhere where we are appreciated and treated nice. Their loss not ours. People will remember the negativity. Gambling is a game of chance but you will not have a chance here. Odds are against you. Save your money. By the way I told everyone I have encountered on the treatment we had. Everyone in Silver City, New Mexico goes to this place for fun. Hopefully they will go into Phoenix for real casino experience.
