Robbery. Charging $38 a night for the woods. I live in a 5th story loft in Tempe, and my rent breaks down to about $67 a day. I get a hot tub, a pool, a wine lounge, my own loft, business center, free bike and canoe rentals for Tempe town lake, internet, AC..I could go on and on…and here you get, a plot of land with a fire pit, and a picnic table. So please explain to me how a campground in the woods with no internet nor power nor ANYTHING is worth 38 a night…when I pay 2k a month and get what I listed above. This is not a resort, it’s a campground. All campgrounds should be free. I will never stay here again and who ever hosts this place and posts the rates, you should be thrown in jail.

I have to say this was one of the nicest, cleanest, friendly camp ground i have ever been to up on this mountain and I do a lot of camping. We took our side-by-side and went riding on the other side of the hwy from our camp site. The forest is huge with lots of trails. When the day was done it was so nice to walk done to the showers, very clean with a bathroom in the same individual room. Definitely will be going here again.

I prefer to camp away from people. That said; This campground is well planned out, maintained and ran by friendly folks. Good facilities as far as water, tank dump for rv. We stayed at an electric site for a few nights and we liked it. Pretty well-behaved, and the sites are set up to where you have some privacy and nobody is on top of you. We have stayed in the non-electric sites and they were okay but people do run generators from time to time which irritates me to no end. No water at the sites but there are potable drinking water faucets around the campground in both electric and non-electric sections. Best to fill up when you arrive at the campground up by the dump stations. Tried a shower..they are ok. People that work there seem to like their jobs and the place is clean. They do sell firewood and ice. The website is nice because you can actually see where the camp spot is in relation to other camp spots. Easy reservation and if you have to cancel you get most of it back. I suggest an eastern exposure for trailer as the afternoon sun can still bear down. Like I said I prefer to be away from people but this is doable.

Great location for family camping! Restrooms are always clean and the facilities are maintained very well. Nothing like listening to the wind blowing through the trees while rocking in your hammock. The camp hosts are very helpful and friendly. This is one of our favorite places to camp on the Rim. Easy access to Woods Canyon Lake and Christopher Creek.

Nice campground, plenty of spaces. Last year I was in an electric site and this year standard. Both areas have good spacing between sites. Clean and plentiful bathrooms with water spigots outside. They have a dump station but no way to connect a hose to wash out your black tank. I really didn't like that. Plenty of dumpsters, nice showers but it's a push button deal 🙁. I've stayed two years and I'd stay again. Get a way to allow us to wash out black tanks! Oh, what are those growths on the pines?? 😵💫

We love this campground. We came on a first come- first serve weekend. It was so quiet and pleasant. The restrooms are always clean when we come, and so are the campgrounds. The camp host/ other employees were so friendly and helpful. We will stay here as often as we can!

We like to disperse camp and stop here to get water on our way and to dump on our way home. Staff is friendly and always easy to work with.

This is one of the best camping sites! 🏕 If you have a big group and want to enjoy nature, this is the best place. This is very clean, even the bathrooms, and they have showers 🚿 too.

Super nice campground. From the staff working the kiosk, the groundskeepers, and the maintenance workers...all lovely. The spots were large and clean. Couldn't get Starlink a clear sky, but Verizon rocks out here, so plenty of bandwidth to work remotely. Showers were clean, trails tidy, and amenities were appreciated. We'll be back!

Open until 4:30 weekdays. Always courteous and very friendly. Super knowledgeable about the Aache/Sitgreaves. Getting wood permits is a breeze here.

I needed a place to stop with cellphone reception for a zoom meeting mid day. 5 bars full reception for Verizon. And it's a beautiful place to stop
