I would definitely recommend this place! Everything was so well taken care of. The trails were fun and the view of Lake Champlain was beyond beautiful. Truly a great experience! The store is cute and has just about everything you need. The food is great too! The only thing is quiet hours are from 10pm-10am. So if you have littles who wake up early this could be challenging. However everything else about the place makes up for it.

July 2025 Visit. Overall a beautiful place with lots to offer. First, the good. >Store is well stocked. Besides basics, they have fresh cookies, treats, coffee and a food counter with limited choices but great convenience. They have a penny-candy section too which you don't see often. >Free food delivery to your site from the store. >Free firewood delivery >Trash pickup from your site >Golf carts - Rental was half the price we usually see. >Pool is beautiful, large, clean and has a fantastic view. See my photos. Patio around pool is large with lots of seating. Bathrooms nearby. >Golf course (not mini-golf) >Marina >Path out to what they call the bluff. Great view in a nice yard area with chairs and side tables. Very popular spot at sunset. We drove our golf cart out there with coffee to relax at sunset. >Site was very clean and quite spacious. >Lake views >Some very nice starry nights One interesting thing to note. We were down hill from the pool. On that section they have the roads tiered which is great as it affords better views for those farther back. The closest 4 rows are configured for drivable RV's only. By that I mean they are setup to pull in to the site so the windshield faces the lake. The power pedestal and water hook ups are on the wrong side for a back in trailer. We were at the top closest to the pool which are configured like any other back-in site. Mentioning as a heads-up. Staff were very nice and helpful. Plenty of great stuff nearby. If you bike at all don't miss the causeway. It's not far away. Spectacular lake views. A couple not so good things but, we would absolutely come back. If I could put 4.5 stars I would. There were 2 things that weren't great. First, The pool and the area around it are fantastic but the hot tub, not so much. It had stuff floating on the top and oily bubbles, dirty. Just not as clean as I would expect, especially for the cost of the stay. We have been to many resorts with hot tubs and this is the first one we wouldn't go in. In fairness to Apple Island, I did not bring the hot tub to their attention in part because there was so much else to do and we very much enjoyed the pool. Second thing was on checkout day. We were given an extra hour for checkout by the office. Shortly after regular check out time the mower appeared. I fully understand he has a job to do and has to work around various campers coming and going but it was aggressive. Our neighbor was also packing up and chatting with someone while working. The guy on the mower came up and drove between the 2 men forcing one man to back up. The rest of the site was empty. He could have done that part first. After that came my site where he mowed inches from my feet and kept making passes that forced us to stop packing. He would not make eye contact or yield in any way. The worst thing about this to me was there were at least 8 empty sites right around us.

All the hook-ups worked as they should. Not a lot of trees in the park so not many shaded sites. Lots of sites have views of the lake. Everyone that works here is nice. They take you to your site and guide you in if you need help. Trash pick-up is nice but it would be nice to also have access to the dumpster. Playground, pool, short trail to lake view access, deli, decent size camp store/general store, laundry, community room with tons of events. You’re right on the lake and there’s a decent amount of stuff to do in the small area. It is beautiful here and the stars are amazing at night. We enjoyed our stay here.

Apple Island Resort 10/10 South Hero VT. We did a 3 day weekend here and loved everything about it. The views of Lake Champlain were incredible, the pool and facilities were all very nice. the camp store had a great selection of snacks and drinks, plus the deli makes some nice sandwiches. the par 3 executive golf course was small but immaculately manicured. the greens were so smooth, no weeds or bald spots. Everything was in great shape as well, nothing was broken, the picnic table on the site was not rotted or splintering. the power pole wasnt covered in spiders or bees nests. I wish i had time to check out the car museum that is on site, something to look forward to next time

Wow! This place meets and exceeds expectations. From the moment we arrived (6/19/25) there was a host waiting to lead us to our site. Then during our stay after some heavy rains our site got a bit muddy right where our RV ladder landed. After one inquiry the staff had the mud cured and the standing water was gone. Beautifully cared for grass and gravel sites add to the beauty of Lake Champlain and the green mountains. Pool and hot tub was great as there is more than ample space to enjoy. Looking forward to coming back (maybe with the grand kids) and enjoying venue during the early fall vista.

Sadly, this may be our last time year camping here. New management has increased the fees significantly and are discouraging families with children and travel trailers to book there stay here. They offer activities only catered toward adults and “adult only” swim times. That’s not an issue for me when choosing a campground because I don’t expect anyone to entertain my kids. But I don’t like to hear they’re are purposely trying to discourage families with young children to come stay. The most sought after sites with the best views are only encouraged for CL A trailers only. After speaking with several employees and seasonal folks. This seems to be the coming complaints.

Great staff, friendly and helpful. This is large resort and many permanent sites with well maintained "mobile homes" in this park. Many have additions and this is a really nice community I am sure. The camper area is mostly a wide open area but I will say that there is enough room between sites so it doesn't feel like a parking lot. Nice views of the lake. Only disappointment is for a resort I would have expected cable TV at each site. Unless I missing something I didn't see a hookup at our site. We are camping during the week and the activities are Thurs thru Saturday so we miss all that fun.

Spent a week at the campground and truly enjoyed our time there. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our site was spacious and clean, and we had amazing views of Lake Champlain. Very family and pet friendly. The saltwater pool was the perfect place to cool off during the heat wave we had while staying there. Highly recommend and would certainly stay here again in the future.

We spent 4 days here at site AL002. This site was great. Tons of room, pretty level, an outstanding view of the lake and nice and shaded. We where extremely happy with our site choice. None of the sites are bad, all are huge and level. There is some road noise, minimal, but the views are worth it. The resort staff where some of the friendliest we have ever met. This also goes for the seasonals too. There's a ton of seasonal sites here, all well maintained, no eye sores and everyone we spoke to where welcoming. Park is very pet friendly, golf course on site is an added bonus. The store is huge, and has excellent grinders. They had live music one night and a food truck. Pool is clean and they have a great fitness center. If I could give this place more stars I would. We would definitely come back and recommend staying here. Next time we will rent the pontoon to explore the lake, which is available on site as well!!

We stayed for four nights in a full hookup, Platinum site facing Lake Champlain. Upon arrival we were told “we gave your site away accidentally” but they claim to have given us a better one- which, we probably couldn’t have told the difference. We loved the site we ended up at. This place is extremely quiet. So peaceful, and everyone we came in contact with whether it be in the store, or marina (the exception being one grumpy gentlemen at the marina, but maybe he was having a bad week?) were very helpful, and nice. Our daughter enjoyed the clean pool, we rented a pontoon and a rowboat, and our dogs also had a great time walking the grounds. (Everyone really picks up after their dogs well, it’s so nice) They have a bulletin/chalkboard out front letting you know the activities going on throughout the day, which was a lot of fun- we had just missed bingo. The laundry area was basic(bring quarters and your own soaps), but the commercial washer and dryers were pretty quick, and inexpensive! The store was our favorite. Lots of local goods, great wine and beer selections- the deli is amazing, and the people were super nice. Pricing was fair at the store, as they are not a large chain. We hope to return in the future.
