By far the best camping experience I have ever had. Mike and Nadine are amazing hosts and all around great people! Restrooms were very clean. Very safe atmosphere as well. Will be back next year!

I have camped all over Colorado, as a child, with my kids and now with my grandkids. This place is the best and my favorite by far. From day one Nadine, one of the camp host, went out of her way to be accommodating. She is friendly, professional and knowledgeable of the lake and surrounding areas. She made us feel welcomed and appreciated. The 2nd day we had the pleasure of meeting her husband Mike. Once again, he made us feel welcomed. They both handled a situation with another camper fairly, honestly and extremely professional. They truly care about the lake and campground and take passion in their duties as camp host. Even when it was so crowed and people trying to get by without following rules, the handled it with class. They are exactly what you want in a camp host and more. Thank you Mike and Nadine for exceeding our expectations.

I love this campsite so much! I make it a point to come back every summer at least once. The camp hosts are so sweet and keep it very clean. And the views are everything.

Thank you Nadine and Mike for your wonderful hospitality and very clean campground and bathrooms! All the campers stayed respectful of their space and volume and that was nice especially with us having a big group with several kids. We will definitely be returning!

First come, first serve set up. Our group up there first week of June 2025. Very rainy this year but was still a great time. The sites were level, minor adjustments in some spots, my 5th Wheel camper, no adjustments in spot 11. Restrooms clean, did not smell. Perhaps because it was chilly and early in the year but ever the less. I will, we will be back. Lots of trees around the sites, close to the water....

Great spot! Good running water and very clean vault toilets. First come first serve arrived about 9:20 am 6/16 and got to the last tent spot. I’d come at that time or earlier if visiting again

This is a very nice camping location with some first come first served spots. Be aware DO NOT buy a 24 hour pass at the pay location immediately after turning off the highway. This is only for day use! You must pay for camping at the site itself. Our spot was just as few feet from the lake and it was very quiet which isn't always the case with camp sites.

Really beautiful spot. All first-come camping and on the higher end for pricing per night ($29/night, cash or check) but great views and right on the water. Super clean bathrooms, water available, relatively quiet even though you're close to other sites, lots of access points to the water. We had luck finding one final spot on a Friday afternoon in the fall...but I'm sure this place fills up even quicker in the summertime. I'd get here early if you plan on summer camping here!

We spent 7days Aug. 24-Aug29th 2021 tent camping in spot 14. It was awesome. The host was helpful and friendly and everything was always well cared for. We had a path to the lake where we had the canoe. True to is name the sunsets were awesome.

Really enjoyed our experience camping here. We tent camped at spot 16 which had a path down to the lake. The spot was a little more exposed to wind than some of the other spots but the view of the lake was great. You can watch sailboats on the lake from the beach or the site itself. The area was well taken care of and there is tree coverage which is nice. The bathrooms were pretty well kept for outdoor toilets. Liked that we were close to other places to hike and explore. I recommend a hike at Monarch lake which isn't far, just down the dirt road which was a really nice well maintained dirt road, and visiting Grand Lake. The marina at grand lake was much cheaper to rent kayaks from than the one we found on Lake Granby but the town itself is cute and worth seeing if you want to shop or go out to eat. All in all this campground was a nice retreat and we will likely go back.

This is a beautiful campground, that has one of the best camp hosts we've come across, John! He's a man with a good soul. Very nice and helpful. 😃 Everyone enjoys him! The lake is so peaceful with lots of Osprey nests nearby to observe. The sites are easy enough to level up & are pretty good size & tidy. The town nearby has everything you'd need! City Market, gas, laundry, cannabis & espresso! We would definitely return! šŸ‘

A nice looking place but watch for spikes when you enter the campground. I don't know what they wanted to achieve installing them. I am afraid they could put there landmines. Sick people.
