This was tolerable but quite underwhelming. There was no shade for any of the plots, all the plots were close together, and cars were supposed to be parked a little ways from your given plot (hence "walk-in"). The river runs right by the plots, offering the only possible respite from the heat. However, it's muddy, rocky and has some algae. The two basic bathrooms are about a quarter mile walk from the camping area, and no drinkable water. Not a typical campground-- didn't realize we were signing up for this.

Plenty of room on camp tent pads. Sites are close together and pretty exposed. Great access to river. A lot of road noise from the highway nearby during the day. At night, much quieter and great sounds of the river rapids burbling

The place is very nice and clean, the river is awesome. Family Oriented, however there is not a place to take the trash. So you need to take your trash home or dump it on somebody else's trash!

Stayed this last weekend during a red flag warning, our bad. Half the sites had proper tie downs for your tents, half did not. Winds were so bad that tents were collapsing and party members were being tossed around like rag dolls. Pestilence hit the group from the absolutely ✨ disgusting ✨ pit toilets, caked with stale urine and a button candy fly strip from hell. I'm still having PTSD from my flashlight illuminating the mound of human dirt that looked like it came from a sick Triceratops in Jurassic Park. Almost the entire group got norovirus. Views were incredible though and I could see it being better without the plagues.

Facilities and overall river valley setting were great. Very well maintained. Restroom [pit toilets] were clean. Could hear the river flowing all night, which was great. The camp ground's layout is not very creative--with campsites all in 2 rows with very little space between sites and no privacy. River access is great.

The camp area is nice and clean. However campsites are so close you can here everything your neighbors are doing with no privacy. No trash pickup, toilets are far. Fishing is great. A bit expensive for how little you get in camp amenities.

This place was very pretty. Beautiful water. Nice quiet area. With very nice camp sites. There were only a few RV/Campers/Vans. Don't recall tents there, too cold.

The views and access to the river are amazing. If weather forecasts wind, definitely brace yourselves.

One of my absolute favorite places to stop while cruising down hwy 50 with the dogs!! The area is relatively large giving plenty of space to play and stretch the dogs legs while in the car for long periods of time. It's a great spot to fish and just dip into the river on a beautiful day. The dogs especially love swimming here! The campground is pretty large but a bit crammed for my liking BUT the space allows for a quick camp overnight on a long road trip which is all you can ask for! Some cows here and there but they're so friendly and give plenty of space. Have fun!

Very beautiful campsite! Has toilets, fire pits with grates for campfire cooking and tents places. Stars are beautiful at night here! Very little light pollution.

Cute little rest stop along the highway. The camp ground is right along the river and there are bathrooms. No trash service so pack it out!

This was probably my least favorite campsite in Colorado. The tent sites are literally 10 feet from each other. If you enjoy camping right on top of other families you’ve never met before, then maybe this will work out. We didn’t enjoy it. It was awkward. The only reason I gave this site two stars instead of one is because the sunset was beautiful.

Great Campground but busy. Mainly people stopping just for the night though not for several days like we did. There are two bathrooms here in a changing area for men and women. A lot of people start and stop in this location as well but overall it was great.
