Overview

Overview

Vine Prairie Park sits directly along the banks of the Arkansas River, offering a peaceful retreat for travelers seeking a natural setting. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this campground maintains a classic, rugged outdoor aesthetic that focuses on the surrounding scenery. It is a favored spot for those who appreciate scenic riverfront views and a quiet atmosphere away from the bustle of major highway corridors, providing a quintessential Arkansas camping experience.

Location & Surroundings

Nestled just outside of Mulberry, Arkansas, the park enjoys a quiet position nestled within the lush foliage of the river valley. The landscape is characterized by dense tree coverage, which provides ample shade during the warm summer months. Because of its rural placement, guests will find themselves surrounded by the natural beauty of the Ozark foothills, making it a perfect base for those looking to explore the scenic river passages and quiet woodlands of the region.

The park is well-equipped for traditional camping needs, offering a selection of sites that cater to both tent campers and RV enthusiasts. Visitors can expect water and electrical hookups at many sites, alongside essential facilities like a boat ramp for river access. The grounds are kept in a clean, orderly fashion, reflecting the typical standard of COE managed properties. Guests also have access to picnic shelters and restrooms, ensuring a comfortable stay for those planning a multi-day trip.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The Arkansas River serves as the primary draw for recreation in this area. Fishing enthusiasts frequently visit to cast lines into the river, while others utilize the convenient boat launch to explore the waters by boat or kayak. For those looking to explore on land, the proximity to the Ozark National Forest provides endless opportunities for scenic drives and hiking. Local towns nearby offer small-town charm and authentic dining experiences that round out a weekend getaway.

Who This Park Is Best For

Me and my family had a great time here, the managers Rick and Marilyn were really nice and Rick came around almost everyday to see if we needed anything or if we needed help with anything. Really nice and peaceful park, very clean, well taken care of. We will be coming back here very soon.

Its a park!. Be careful in your boat because there's lots of shallow spots you must stay in the channel. I'm in a 14 foot flatbottom with a 20hp Yamaha and i had issues getting outta some places

Could use some street lights for night fishing. On duty enforcement officer for those who dont get the parking permit. Clear some of the tree limbs and brush for better fishing.
