I want to start out by saying that we truly don’t understand why this place would get a negative review. We had such a great time at the Artic, and the hospitality of the staff played a big role. It was very easy to get in contact with the staff through phone and text, they were always quick to respond and very helpful with any questions we had. Check-in is at the bar, which seems like a fun little place, the people there seemed to be having a good time and treated us very kindly. The Artic is very reasonably priced (we were camping in our tent) and the location is great! There weren’t too many people there so it was nice and quiet and it was nice to have some privacy in comparison to the campsites we’ve seen at the coast, where you’re crammed next to one another. Keep in mind this rv park is next to a road so you might hear some cars at night, but nothing too bad. The amenities were great and very affordable and clean too. There were toilets, showers, a washing machine and dryer which were all in great shape. Some might say the shower house can look a little outdated, but I’d say you shouldn’t expect everything to look the same as it does at home when camping. We initially wanted to stay at this campsite for one night, but since we liked it so much, we booked another night. We made a fire and the staff was kind enough to give us some extra firewood so we could keep the fire going. We really appreciated that! All in all we’d give this place 5 stars and would definitely come back!

The office is the bar and restaurant. Has a unique little charm to it. Have not spent the night yet so we'll see how quite it is as you know a bar can get rowdy at times.

Was awesome of them to allow a hiker/backpacker to use the bicyclist site for less than $20 for the night. *There are Some private campgrounds that have turned me away bcuz they only have RV sites…OR…they only have “bike” sites AND I could stay if I reserve and pay for a Regular site. This place wasn’t like that. The hospitality other reviews speak of…spot On. I stopped at the pub first. Asked about getting a campsite. Was really easy. Then I got a super tasty Blue Cheese n Bacon burger and a couple drinks to celebrate breaking through 6500 miles walked. The campsite was really quiet after dark, easily able to sleep. The shower does take a quarter. A Quarter…for 5 minutes! Not $2 for a shower. Not a Quarter a minute. A quarter for 5! 50Cents gets ya 10 minutes. Can’t beat that really. If you are hiking or biking through….tired? hungry? want a drink? up for conversing with the locals? Be sure to stop. And the owners even gifted me a food care pkg right before I went to sleep. A couple of #humanswithwings I tell ya. Mile 6,506 was awesome.

I love the layout of the small rv park. Super friendly staff,A little muddy after some rain. But worth the effort to park my 27foot bumper pull rv. We enjoy the trees over head and quiet space. staying for a few months and the owner is very friendly. Highly recommend if you are a couple traveling and looking to lay up for a bit. The pub has a warm inviting atmosphere.

The tavern is open and that is really cool. I haven't stayed at the RV park but I heard it's really nice

This cozy & delightful space is a must stop on Hwy 101. We walked in & we were automatically greeted with smiles. We cozied up to a table to play some dominos & sip on some suds.. while the locals were playing pool. Met the Previous owner (purchased 1975) & the Chef/ Bartender and learned some history & future prospects of this recycled & repurpose space. While right now they are in a holding pattern for the kitchen, the drinks & atmosphere are inviting. This was a great way to spend time relaxing.

We were looking for a night stay. This one was more residential, dark and run down. My suggestion drive a little further.

Nice little place. The shower was only a quarter. The host was great! Thanks for everything!

Loved this great little campground. RV sites have some space and greenery in between so you're not right on top of each other. Nice, clean bathrooms with coin op showers, and a rec building for rainy day activities. Beautiful, fairly easy hike around the grounds and along the river.

Accommodated us for one night. Wish they had free shower rather than the coin operated. The owner was friendly. No Wi-Fi. Do have pub as part of site so convenient rather than going out for dinner via drive.
