It was good-- not great. The staff was responsive and good natured. The site was just OK, the campground was undergoing renovations. I'm going to guess it will be much better once done.

Nice experience with the family. Great location! Minutes to everything!

Very nice campground. Jen in the office is really nice and helpful. I recommend staying here. It is a great place. There was a little snow which it warmed up a little and made it a little soggy but all in all a great place.

This camp ground has it all, covered stalls or small corrals, I'm guessing they are about 20'x20', but no roofs over them. This place is right on the battleground. Just cross the street and you are on the trails. The campsite has an inground pool, pond, campfire pits, RV hookups and running water, toilets, laundry and a store. You're 1.5 miles from town. The corrals and stalls are secure enough you can leave your horse for a few hours and enjoy a restaurant or museum if you want to without worry. In general, the area seems very safe and respectful. The campground also provides sawdust for your stalls and has shared wheelbarrows for use, but do bring your own fork. There are eleven miles of horse trails. The trails are well kept. You will see people on the trails walking around, and dogs. There was one wooden bridge I took my horse across with no way to ride around it, so make sure your horse can walk across a wooden bridge before bringing it here. Your riding in a lot of open areas and it is breezy, so keep it in mind if you are there in cooler weather. Enjoy the history!

We have stayed here many times and always have had a great experience! We love camping. We have brought our own horses and also ridden at the stables. This time we only brought our camper. We had a blast. The events were well planned, trick-or-treating, DJ dance party, food trucks, farmers market, pumpkin carving contest, site decorating contest and coloring contest for kids. We had a fantastic time.
