Situated in Moore Haven, this destination provides travelers with a welcoming base for exploring the inland beauty of the Sunshine State. The resort is known for its vibrant community atmosphere and its scenic positioning along the water, making it a standout choice for those seeking more than just a place to park. It serves as a true waterfront retreat where the pace of life slows down and neighborly interactions are the norm.
Location & Surroundings
Found in the heart of Glades County, the resort sits on the southern banks of the Caloosahatchee River. This prime location places guests right on the Okeechobee Waterway, a historic route that connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico. The surrounding landscape is defined by vast prairies and the massive presence of Lake Okeechobee, providing a quiet, rural setting that is far removed from the frantic energy of Florida’s coastal cities, yet accessible to local conveniences.
Amenities & Park Features
The resort is well-equipped with full-hookup RV sites that cater to a variety of modern rigs and travel trailers. Guests often gather at the on-site Tiki Bar and Grill, which serves as the social heartbeat of the park with its live music and island-inspired food. For relaxation, the sparkling swimming pool offers a refreshing escape from the Florida heat. Additionally, the park provides essential conveniences like laundry facilities and clean bathhouses, ensuring a comfortable stay for both short-term visitors and seasonal residents.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to do, as the Moore Haven area is a premier destination for trophy bass fishing. Boaters can easily access the river for a day on the water, while hikers and cyclists can explore sections of the Lake Okeechobee Scenic Trail (LOST), which offers elevated views of the dike and local wildlife. For a touch of local culture, the region provides glimpses into Florida's rich agricultural history and exceptional spots for bird watching along the marshy shorelines.
Who This Park Is Best For
This resort is ideal for anglers and boating enthusiasts who want direct access to some of Florida’s most famous inland waterways. It also appeals strongly to socially-oriented retirees and snowbirds who enjoy community events and a lively, festive atmosphere. We have been at Aruba RV Resort for 5 years. We find it very peaceful and relaxing. Yes, there has been changes in management in that time frame. We personally have not had any issues. Everyone is friendly and working hard to keep the park clean and enjoyable for everyone!! The pool is a great asset for the hot summer days. With the parks central location you can travel to either coast easily.

Park is great, new prices are great and definitely affordable. Just booked my spot for the winter. It's so peaceful, can't wait to wake up and sip my coffee near the water. Such a family feeling when being away from home, The New manager Julie is definitely making the park great again.
