Beautiful area. Good amenities. No RV hookups but portable water and vault bathrooms

WATER IS BACK ON. Quiet campers, plenty of shade (Lodgepoles and aspen), all paved = no dust. Yes, you can hear cars on Rt 191 in the distance.

4 only because no running water. Only 1 vault toilet for whole campground. Camp hosts super nice! Kept place clean. $7 bucks for wood. Beautiful quiet campground. Saw a moose at night.

The water isn't on. Only one outhouse for large campground. The dump was not open because of the water. The camp host was rude. Tried to charge extra for our second vehicle. We needed extra water and asked if we could get some from them was told we could get water 9 miles away. It is a beautiful area but, we will not stay there again. Not worth it.

This has been our favorite camp ground when visiting flaming gorge area but this year it lost a lot of its benefits. No water and with no water the nice flushing toilet bathrooms were out of order and no RV dump station. I think we may look for a new spot next year. Only plus was still bit nicer trees than the lower camp grounds.

Although the water was off this camp ground still was awesome to stay at. The camp sites were spaced far enough apart and were set up rather well for RV and tent camping.

Nice camp in aspen-lodgepole trees. Good option for RVs and TTs as sites are large and well designed. Sites 1-22 can be reserved, sites 23-35 are FF. However, as of this review the water system was not working, so NO WATER, no flush toilets and no rv dump and instead portapotties for your enjoyment! (UPDATE: FS is installing a vault toilet as of 6-17-2021). Hwy noise from #191. Great cell signal for att and tmobile but not so good for Verizon.

The campground was nice, spread out and well maintained. However, you could hear big equipment driving, banging and beeping starting at 5am and all morning. Not sure where it was coming from but kind of ruined it...

No water, no toilets. Highway noise. Early June, 10%full Clean air, dark skies Aspen and lodgepole Lots of afternoon and morning shade. Super host--very accommodating. Wildlife--saw deer, hawk, buzzards, pointy eared grey squirrels. Heard sage grouse many times: p...p...p...p.p.p.ppppp.

We had a great time at Lodgepole. I drove up hoping to find a site and was able to book one for two nights. The camp sites have a picnic table, fire ring, and tent site for use. There were also flushing toilets and water spigots throughout the grounds. The managers were very friendly and welcoming! We saw them driving around checking on the grounds and bathrooms several times during our stay there. It does get cooler at night and in the mornings. Flaming Gorge Dam is about 15 minutes away and I recommend the Red Canyon Overlook for some of the best views! We enjoyed our time there and hope to return soon!
