This is a truly sad situation. What used to be a magical place to be, as turned into somewhat of a dumpy trailer park. I say this with respect to the people that have their trailer homes there. I stayed in a cabin about 4 years ago, and the man owner was nice to me, but the cabin was filthy and full of spiders. The grounds are dumpy, the store is closed, and the owners have barking dogs. This place used to be full of green grass, flowers, a cute gift shop and great diner. Beautiful music flowed through the building restrooms, and out to the deck. There was even a small pool there years ago. Our family has many cherished memories there with camping, the serenity run, and just stopping in for an ice cream year-round. The Apen Trails billboard south of town either needs to be taken down or these owners need to wake up and realize what a gem they have sitting there before it goes to complete rot. Follow in the footsteps of Pat & Tony!

Just stopped by for a propane fill. Not a guest there but they were very friendly and even let me fill a water jug. I was a boondocker from up on Grand Mesa so I did not stay there but if I needed an RV park and hookups I would I future.

Have been stopping here off and on every time we are in the area and traveling through. Owners were very friendly and enjoyed a great conversation with both of them. In addition to our lunch we ordered the Grand Mesa Banana Split. What a great dessert. Our family of five barely was able to finish it.

Beautiful location, great food, good prices. Make sure Kim is cooking. However, management very unprofessional!! They lose checks, grossly overcharge for electricity ($100 for one month and we couldn’t use our AC because it didn’t work). Never a straight answer on important questions. Changes their minds on preset agreements. Inter in at your own risk.
