The grounds are awesome. Very kid friendly play area and lots of things to do. Ultimately I left disappointed by the overall customer service that was provided. No employees were solution focused and often responded with a simple yes or no. It took additional questioning to get a resolution on any issue big or small. For example, we needed to make change for the laundry machines, when we asked the store clerk for quarters, he simply said he’s out… we further prompted “is there a place to go for quarters?” At which point we were redirected to the game room. A similar scenario occurred before our trip ever started. We were hoping to extend our trip, when I called to inquire we were told we can’t extend. We booked an additional night at the sate park across the street. Only to find out what they really meant was our specific site was not available. I tried to further my cause by writing an email to explain that a different site is acceptable, my email and concerns went unaddressed. Employees also seem eager to leave and close things down. This one employee became very abrasive when clearing the kids’ playground. She began to yell across the playground instead of walking over to speak to any of the kids respectfully. I have more examples, that said, the overall customer service and the fact that I had to unnecessarily change locations will factor in a low likelihood of me returning and will impact the way I tell people of my stay.

We had such a wonderful stay at KOA Astoria and can’t wait to come back! From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the whole campground was kept very clean and well organized. One of the biggest highlights for us was Gray’s Comfort Q BBQ. The food was incredible—the biscuits and gravy were hands down the best we’ve had, so much so that we ordered them twice during our stay! The pricing was unbelievable! $8 for 3 biscuits smothered in sausage gravy!! The kids meal was only $5. You truly can’t beat that! The service there was just as great as the food, which made it such a nice treat to have right on-site. Our campsite itself was perfect for our trailer. It had plenty of space, was well set up, and the rocking bench at our site was such a thoughtful touch—we spent many evenings just relaxing there. The location couldn’t have been better, with the beach only a short walk away, making it easy to enjoy both the campground and the ocean. We also really appreciated how family-friendly this KOA is. The kids had an amazing time with all the planned activities, and the pools and hot tubs were a huge hit for everyone. It made the whole experience feel like more than just camping—it felt like a mini vacation resort. The only downside we found was the WiFi, which was very spotty and especially difficult to use when the campground was full. That’s definitely something we hope will be improved in the future. Overall though, our stay was fantastic. Between the friendly staff, clean facilities, great food, and all the fun amenities, KOA Astoria really made for a memorable trip. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!

It was a great stay last year with our 36' coach pulling a pickup truck and a family of 5! Easy and roomy to get in and dedicated spots to check in at the entrance. Very family oriented place with abundance of activities for kids of pretty much all ages! Management and team are very friendly and welcoming. Property is as good as it gets as far as upkeep and cleanliness goes, even countless kids playgrounds. Only thing that could possibly be improved (not to nitpick) is an unbearable chlorine smell in indoors pool, maybe a better ventilation, but even that was neatly stocked and clean! Would definitely come back if we are lucky to find a spot for atleast a week to justify 600 miles trip!

All Staff were outstanding/friendly , well maintained campground and we really enjoyed our stay here making great family memories. We had a fantastic visit! All was exactly as described on the website and we did all the activities offered. Great location and short distance to the beach (1.6 miles) with a paved bike/walk path for easy access. So much to do here and so great for kids. If you don’t want to cook, Grays BBQ in the KOA is amazing and so convenient! My kids loved the pancakes since we only packed cereal along. Highly recommend!

By far and away the services at this KOA are the best I've ever experienced. Little things, like picking up our trash, or the clean private showers. A resort true to the word; an abounding expanse of endless trailer park, campsite and miniature golf. Within the grounds, even a little rc track. The Laundromat was of the best I've seen at a KOA, even to purvey its own quarters. (Which is surprisingly a luxury in my experience. ) I look forward to the day i may return.

Had a great stay at the KOA! Even though the weather was not great, they had plenty of activities and things to do for the kids. The indoor pool and hot tub was a big hit. It was relaxing to be able to let my kids roam free on there bikes knowing that everyone was looking out for each other. It was a great family atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

I booked a few days during spring break at this campground because they have an indoor pool and the weather is not great this time of year. Just wanted something fun for the kids considering all the cancelations in the last two years. I Purposely avoided the last pool maintenance closure several weeks ago when I picked my dates. I called at the time of booking my reservation and confirmed that it would be open and again a few days ago. I stumbled upon a message on their website, today, saying the pool will be closed next week for maintenance. After talking to the front desk staff, I was informed that it was corporate that closed it with less then a week notice to drain and resurface the pool. (not sure why this would not have happened in the last two years with less people traveling or at the very least not during spring break) It is impossible to talk to management or anyone one that cares about their guests (minus the front desk staff who did the best they could with limited information). Also, this KOA has shut down their cafe...not sure why. This campground has great potential, but every time we have visited it seems like something is always shut down. The cabin we rented is quite expensive and their is no discount for the amenities being shut down. I am disappointed for my kiddos who were looking forward to it. Looks like it is time for a new spring break tradition.

We had an AMAZING time at KOA! They had wonderful activities planned all week long for the kiddos during Spring Break! It was so cool! And their landscaping was beautiful, daffodils everywhere! I can't wait to come back again soon!
