Look elsewhere to stay!! Not big rig friendly. Big motorcoaches beware! This campground has many issues. In the front it’s all gravel and dirt sites, and they pack them in like sardines. In the “S” section in back, the sites are big enough to not unhook, but once you pull in you can’t get out. Sharp turns, and we had to unhook to get around them. Wood poles everywhere, on sites and corners that are near misses when you approach them. Huge speed bumps that are falling apart. For all the rules and regulations this place has, you’d think it’d be really nice. We made the mistake of not reading all the reviews. Lesson learned. We will never stay here again. The people that own this campground didn’t build it with motorhomes in mind. They’re clueless about the space big rigs need to move around in a campground. Update to owner’s response: Firstly, their grammar is lacking. Second, they totally missed my entire point that it’s not big rig friendly. A large motorcoach CANNOT maneuver in this RV park. I already mentioned in my review the “S” sites are long, and fit big rigs, but there’s really no point if you can’t pull out easily. There are too many tight corners. There was no misunderstanding, we were told we could pull in and not unhook and pull out. There was no way possible to pull out and make the extremely tight turn. We had to unhook, back out, then hookup again. The misunderstanding is on their part. They have no clue how to handle large rigs.

Great place to stay… They are improving this place more every day.. As far as woman posting there is NO room for big RVs I drove a semi for 17 years and I could get in any spot they place the biggest of RVs.. The staff is very friendly and pet friendly.. I wanted a shaded spot and they allowed me to move. Laundry room is small but the cheapest of any where else.. As far as people every one has been very friendly and helpful to me. Even the grounds keepers.. As far as parked like Sardines name a campground that don’t have close quarters. I have room on both sides of my Trailer and a place for campfire ring, grill, picnic table, storage containers, lawn chairs and Generator. As far as Dogs on 6 foot lease great idea. I’m handicapped and if you have a big dog it needs to be within your control at all times 16’ is not under your control..They are just protecting everyone.. I never have had a money issue with them either. People change their minds all the time.. I Love this place.. .

We only stayed one night passing through however, the people are so nice and so welcoming the gentleman on the golf cart that brings you to your site. He came back later to bring our Daughter this huge welcome bag that had everything in it from soap to a toothbrush, a toy, a little stuffed animal The list goes on and on it made her feel so special. Also offered to take my husband back to his car that we had to leave in the front because we were only staying for one night so we just got a small spot. The gentleman in the office was nice. The neighbors were nice. I don’t know what it would be like to stay here for a while, but it looks like a lot of people do. It is right off interstate 85 which was so convenient. For me the most important part of an RV park is convenience and kindness because you’re already stressed from being on the road and tired. And you will find the kindness here and the convenience. It’s right off of 85 we thank you so much for you to our daughter and accommodating us. If we ever come back through Atlanta, this is where we will stay.

We are giving Atlanta South 5 stars because it had everything that we needed. If you see "resort" in the name and expect hot tubs, spas, and a fancy restaurant, you'll be disappointed. We stayed here for three nights to see some local sights and visit with friends in the area. This is a very large park that claims to be 50 years old. Our site was an older full hookup site with a stone and sand base. We could level our motor home with no trouble and there was plenty of space to park our tow car. There is a newer portion of the resort that has asphalt paving and the resort is in the process of adding new sites. There are a number of older rigs in the resort that appear to be either seasonal or permanent. That didn't bother us but your mileage may vary. There is wifi available, and the cell phone coverage for ATT and Verizon is excellent, possibly because there is a cell tower within the resort. The folks we dealt with in the office, and the workers within the resort property were all courteous and friendly. The camp store is pretty limited but has some essentials. Nearby you can find a variety of restaurants and shopping. Atlanta South is right next to I75 but getting to the resort is confusing. Even though our GPS units were up to date, many of the street names were different, and some of the streets had been either truncated or moved. I talked to the office before we arrived and they told us they are directly behind the Costco. Stick with that advice and you'll be fine. There is no problem with big rigs. Atlanta South RV Resort was a great place to stay, and we would not hesitate to stay there again. Enjoy.

The "S" section is really nice but the lower section is extremely crowded, and has poor roadways I had to move because my equipment was too big for the slot I booked. You would think they would make limits on small slot.. To top it off management is extremely disorganized!!! They have no idea who is coming and going... Just while we were there for a couple days we saw workers communicating with the office to see if campers are even paid up or not... I extended my stay one night and it sent them through a loop!! First they credited card I didn't even use then they took it back all while calling me three times saying I wasn't paid up??? When you were trying to travel and relax and in our case focused on travel sports, very annoying to have to keep clarifying my stay and communicate with them... I would not stay again just because of the disorganization!!! You have a dog. Forget it. You have to keep them on a 6-ft leash at all times even on your site... I've never Issues anywhere else as long as I had my dog secured within the bounds of my site...

Donna at the front desk was pleasant, cheerful and very welcoming. Stayed overnight, didn't use any of the facilities. We have a Crew cab dually and 36' 5th wheel - Tight getting into and out of camp site. Small pet area. Quiet campground. We were in the first row - wasn't bother by freeway. We'll be back again, great place to stop when we're passing through.

We spent just one night and soon realized that they are the friendliest hosts yet. We came in with a new 48' 5th wheel. They made sure we had an easy in...easy out site. Couldn't get satellite due to trees so tried the cable. It didn't work so an awesome couple came over and got us up and running. She totally understood my urgent need to be able to watch Yellowstone that night. Really enjoyed our stay.

The sites are jammed right next to each other. Not enough dog bag and waste baskets on this campground. We stayed for close to a week and this campground is being updated or something. The playground could use improving and the existing areas are in desperate need of updating. We thought that it would be more visually appealing like a resort style grounds like their website.

Nice office and staff but that is where it ends. Roads are narrow and gravel sites are even tighter. With my slides out could barely sit in my lawn chair without falling off the bulkhead. Ants, ants, ants! We had to stay here five days and ants completely infested our rig and truck. This place is certainly No resort! Avoid if possible!

Great place for a one night stop off of I-75. I had read some reviews that were critical of a couple of things but we had no issues at all. We came in and left the daytime. Staff were more than helpful. Good people. There are numerous longterm campers there but that's how they keep the place operating and the cost reasonable. I do agree with the comments about the road construction going on. The staff made me aware of it and they have signs to help. Coming in and out during the day was a non event. At night it would be more of a challenge not being able to see.
