Best to camp farther to right side of campground. Big LOUD stamping plant on left side ruined our night. Every 4 seconds it thumps loudly.

Camped on the river. Could walk to stores and restaurants or on the river walk. Had my boat so did alot of fishing. They have a very nice fish cleaning station

Great place to get our kids ready for the first day of school, 2020 COVID-19 style.

One of the best run city parks that I've camped in Michigan. Friendly atmosphere from both employees and the fellow campers. Provide entertainment & events & still maintain a covirus separation.

Nice campground, but small sites. My daughter loves the pedestrian bridge over the river. I enjoy sitting at my campsite and enjoying my view of the river. I’m not a fan of the placement of the fire rings on the river side. They are right next to the sidewalk, so you have a lot of people walking right next to you when you are trying to enjoy your fire. It seems recently that more and more people are long term campers so there are fewer sites available for weekenders. Take your bicycle and ride around town and out to the bay. It’s a nice ride.

Clean bathroms, shower. Always friendly staff. Grounds are kept clean and mowed. Great play areas for little ones, tennis courts and volleyball for big kids. Close beaches and ice cream a short walk away.
