Stayed for Wed - Sun 10/25 No towels after first day. Had to get more. There were 2 of us in the room. No trash picked up in the room the whole time Beds were never changed or made up. Makes me wonder if the sheets were even clean when we got there. Kind of bummed me out.

We have stayed here many times on trips headed "Up North". We are very easy to please when it comes to lodging, and we have never had complaints. Is it a luxury hotel? No. Is it a clean and comfortable place to stay that is conveniently located next to the interstate? Yes. It was a quiet stay this time with no issues. Pool has been renovated and is open 24 hours. Small play area for kids. Beautiful large outdoor area for dogs and a small nature trail out back. Most of all, you feel safe here. I know I personally always have.

I stayed at The Houghton Lake Super 8 for a week. I had no complaints at all. The rooms were very clean, fairly quiet at night and the staff was absolutely awesome. I highly recommend this hotel if your in this area. GREAT job Mandy and staff!

Nice clean travelers motel right at the exit of 127 highway. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, had the standard continental breakfast for guests from 6-9 am. Decent indoor pool as well. I'll be back for sure.

Overall this Super 8 is a good place to stay. Got this trip though, there were problems. First, the hot water in the bathroom was nearly non-existent. It maintained a slightly warmer than lukewarm for the duration of my stay. I put up with it because I wasn’t in the mood to change rooms. I did leave the property four days early. The second problem involved housekeeping. I saw the lady in the hall pushing her cart cleaning and maintaining rooms. For sone reason room 111 was ignored for the entirety of my abbreviated stay. No beds made and sheets changed. No towel replacement, etc. I didn’t see any notice that say We Only Change Linens When You Check Out And We Don’t Replace Towels Either. It is a good location and I’ve already booked a three day stay in September, but I do hope service improves.
