We HIGHLY recommend this campground. If you enjoy watching freighters, you must stay at Aune Osborn. The sites have both water and electric. Unfortunately, they don’t have sewer, but there are two easily accessible dump stations that reduce the chance of waiting in line when leaving. The price is amazingly low and the views are fantastic! As a result, the sites fill up quickly so book as soon as you possibly can.

Great park with neighboring RV park next door. Marina is perfect to launch your boat and stay at the park. Nice bathrooms. Quiet, neighborly people and even dogs seem to get along here.

Spent 4 nights in our fifth wheel in site 72 & loved our time watch the freighters & lakers. Our site allowed us to pull in either way to afford the best views of the water, however most all other sites are back-in only. Campground is next to the boat launch & within walking distance to the Original Boat Tours. Laundry facilities were clean & reasonable.

The best part of this campground is the proximity to the river and ability to watch the large freighters traveling to and from the Soo Locks. Our campsite was of moderate size with water and electric. The campground is spotlessly clean as are the restroom facilities. It was quiet. No road noise, no rowdy people. The other campers were extremely friendly. We learned of the phone app. Marine Traffic so we could track or predict boat arrivals. We travel with dogs and they were also welcomed. The only downside was the lack of shade trees and privacy.

For the price, this is a wonderful campground. Sites are spacious & bathroom & laundry well maintained & clean. Of course the view of the boats is the best part of being there. I gave a 4 because of the inconvenient locations of water spigots & electric posts. Bring an extension & an extra water hose, we needed both! Also, don’t expect reliable Wifi unless you are right near the office. Oh, be sure to download the Marine Tracker app to use while you are there.

This is an awesome place to camp nowadays it's the only place to camp back way back late '70s early '80s there used to be a place called nicolet campground down the road that was the ultimate for us but I love this place now the freighters are just the best and people are even better and the food what can I say outstanding

I would rate this campground a 4.5 out of 5 star review! And that .5 deduction has nothing to do with the campground. Lack of trees! But, I understand that due to the terrain it’s built on. Otherwise, EXCELLENT! We had spot #2 I believe this past LaborDay weekend. Amazing site at night. Get to watch the freighter go by, and see Canada right in “my back yard, home away from home.” Very clean grounds, amazing staff and guest, and tons and tons of things to do in the area! Will be going back in the future!

This is almost a 5 star county campground. Excellent bathhouse and laundry. The sites are mushy after a rain as they are a mixture of rock, grass, and dirt. IF they were paved, this is a 5 star rating for me. The premium sites next to the river are worth the few extra dollars in price. I woke up in the middle of the night and watched a 1000 footer slide by my bedroom window. TIP: Get a free maritime app that shows the ships location in real time so you know when the next one is coming.

Great location for viewing ships coming in to the locks. Close proximity to tour boats and old downtown. Utilities are good, easy connections but no sewage, dump station only. Wifi is awesome. Sites are large and somewhat paved and fairly level. Interior roads are wide and paved. Friendly and helpful staff makes this a keeper on our list.

Nice quiet campground. Water/electric sites with a dump station. Mostly level. Not much privacy, you’re all backed in a circle around a big grassy space in the middle where you can see every camper. No shade trees. Unless you’re right by the water, the setup makes it a little difficult to see the ships go by. I wish there were more benches by the water to sit and watch without feeling like you’re in someone’s camp site. Otherwise a good price and good location to the downtown area. Nice that they have a great clean laundry room (but the dryer doesn’t dry on the first go round.)
