First, I highly recommend this campsite to everyone. I'm a camping beginner and don't know many other places, but at least the owner here was extremely kind and the bathrooms were super clean. It makes me worry about going to other campsites. lol I think beginners can use this campsite with peace of mind. Actually, right before I left the site this time, my car battery died. A man staying nearby noticed immediately, told the owner, and got me help. He seemed to have left for somewhere else right after, so I couldn't thank him in person. So, I'd like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude. The owner also handled everything very kindly, without a single frown. Thank you so, so much. I will definitely come back here. Next time, in a warmer season. lol Everyone, please give it a try. You won't regret it!

One of the best camping experiences we’ve ever had. The owner greeted as upon arrival and we immediately felt welcomed as though we were family. The sites are well maintained and the bathhouse is absolutely amazing. Doug, his wife, and family own and operate the campground and it’s clear that they put their heart and soul into each and every aspect of the campground. I highly recommend staying at the Austin Campground. We just returned home and are already planning our next visit.

Nice quiet campground nestled in the mountains. Our host was amazing, always checking to make sure everything was ok, or if we needed anything. This is a great place to sit around the camp fire and relax. Close to great trout fishing, hiking and Sinnemahoning state park, where you can picnic around the lake. Viewed elk each day within a mile of the campground. Awesome place, will definitely return for another great getaway.

My partner and I had the best experience here! Doug and Lynette are the most thoughtful, fun, most kindest hosts ever. They both worked extra hard to make sure my partner and I were comfortable and had a good time. You can tell they both really care. We both felt very lucky to have stumbled upon this campground for my birthday weekend. It’s tucked in the most beautiful valley and we were even able to see the Milky Way! We both plan on visiting them again and bringing loved ones to share the magic with us next time. Another thing I want to add— the shower and restroom facilities made our jaw drop. Heck, they were nicer than the ones we have back home! Super clean and heated. They were awesome to use after a long day outside. You’ll feel like you’re at a spa. Thank you Doug and Lynette ❤️ till next time!

Stop looking, camp here! This campground is fantastic. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The facilities are incredibly clean, modern and in excellent working order. I was having some issues with my camper and needed help getting a new tire and cables to setup temporary running lights on my camper. I was able to ask Doug what stores are nearby, and not only did he send me to the right spots, he made phone calls for me to help me see if the stores had the parts I needed. You can’t ask for a more personal and professional experience. We celebrated my nieces 13th birthday here recently, and the staff celebrated with us. It is a great family atmosphere. Highly recommended!! Can’t wait to go back!

Would not recommend. Looks nice, service is terrible. Had to hunt down owner at the other side of the Campground to check in. Website says they have wifi but that is exaggerated. I asked about the wifi when booking because I needed it for work and they said that they have it. What I wasn't told until the day I needed it was that it only worked if I sat out front of the office. When I explained to the owner that I couldn't work that way and had to check out a day early to go home to work and asked if they would refund that evening they said No. They said they have wifi and I could sit in my car at the office to work so they wouldn't refund the money for the night we had to leave early. They were very arrogant and unapologetic for their false information. I would recommend you go anywhere but here.

Nice clean campground.. Could use better internet service only because phone service is almost non-existent.

CANNOT WAIT TO GET BACK! Owners were exceptionally warm and welcoming - even when I was frustrated with the fire ring.. Cabin (coyote cabin) was brand new, very clean.. air conditioning and heat, large fridge, full kitchen. Tiny TV that would play DVDs available for rent at the camp store. No cell service, no wifi into the campground. Elk seen next to, and in, the campground during dawn & dusk. Cherry Springs is a short, beautiful drive. The only thing I didn't like was the taste of the water. Nothing wrong with it, just well water I'm not used to.

We enjoyed our stay here. Owners are very nice and accommodating. We enjoyed the games they had available there and the big checkerboard. Only thing we would change is putting sewer hookups at each site, and a bathroom at end we stayed at. Bathroom was very far away for elderly, or even needing to use at night. Thanks for the great weekend. ❤️

This is our camping home. We would have a permanent site there, except I like to roam around. Still we try to get there at least once or twice a year. The camp owners took ownership about 4 years ago, and every time we go up, improvements had been made. Greg is always re-doing a cabin, and new campsites have been added. The bath house is always clean and the campground is always picked up. Quiet and out of the way for some. Not your major camping resort with golf courses and tennis courts and swimming pools, but a nice safe play area for the kids, and I think they even rent bicycles. All in all, it’s just right for us.
