I am a seasonal camper there. It is very peaceful and lots of trails to trek through nature. They also do a great reenactment of the battle of 1812.

Well laid out area with lots of hands experiences for kids and modern education center. Reasonable entry price per car. Great example of 1800 's buildings on site.

The firefly cottage was great! Came with a mini-fridge, coffee pot, kettle, and an outlet. Highly recommend for camper that want a bedframed stay. The heritage stuff was cool especially the mill and weave shop. Just wish the other buildings on the heritage site got some more attention. (Lookin' at you blacksmithy)

I have been coming to this beautiful conservation park for many years. It is tranquil full of nature,wildlife, fishing, camping, swimming, nature trails, heritage village, museum, events center. Practically has everything a family needs to have a beautiful vacation. You also have Turkey Point, Port Rowan, and Long Point Beach close by. Definitely recommended. Good place for family fun. One can check in online and pick up the pass later. Large space, good activities, fishing and history sites.

the place its' self is beautiful but the people running it are horrible. Dave the so called supervisor, Brandon the super and Judy above Brandon have no moral compos. i was dropping my oldest off to camp there run by a different organization when the Dave guy took it upon himself to verbally attack me for "speeding" when i went from 15 to 20 km/h to allow another vehicle, truck bigger than my truck, to pass me without either of us having to us the ditches and then i slowed down to 15 km/h again. Dave screamed at me through his window saying that i was speeding although he wasn't in eye sight of situation when i passed him one second after getting the truck go by, he then proceeded to follow me throughout the park until i had parked and turned off my engine to get my child out when he cam out of his truck screaming profanity with my child present when i asked to stop he continued. i then got out my phone to record it all. after i told him to stop harassing us and to please but a mask on since he was standing in arms length. he then took his mask and crumpled it into his pocket. he took down my license plate number and make of vehicle and got back into his vehicle. i followed him tot get his name on camera and before i could step away from the work truck he put it into drive and ran over my shoe since i was able to slide my foot out in time for i had sandals on. ALL ON CAMERA. nor Brandon or Judy took my concerns seriously and never returned any of my calls.

Camping wise was great. Only issue with was washroom, no proper washroom available. Specifically lot "A". Had to drive to camp ground B or C. Other then that everything as expected.

•Their definition of a "slight incline" is a joke. •Snoops around your site if they think you aren't there. •Let us in just fine with dirtbikes in our truck, but the next morning Mr.Lahey and his assistant trailer park supervisor advised us we shouldn't of been let in. Their web page indicates only ATV's and UTV's are prohibited. •Sites were not cleaned up after previous campers •If there's a day of rain you're trapped in the tent area cause the culvert will wash out, or you can "pack up and leave" as he so eloquently put it. •$20 will get you 5 bags of ice. •$80 for 2 nights.

We love this campground ⛺️ lots of nice places to explore and great activities. We love how big the sites are, this is our main place to camp.

We went to Long Point conservation for camping and beach but it was full so we tried to just try here in Backus and we ended up in this very beautiful camp site. The staff are very polite and friendly. The surroundings are very calm and beautiful. The facilities are available such as wide and spacious shower, washroom which is very clean and there is swimming pool too. Lovely experience which makes me give this of 10 out of 10.
