We brought the camper up and visited here. We had campsite #4. It was only 15amp service, which worked great. We checked in and the dude was super friendly and helpful, camp site was clean, fairly level. Night time was quiet. Short drive into drumheller. Would return again!

Fire pit wasn't cleaned out, garbage left from previous people. It's a 50 site campground so it's small but that's okay the issue is noise will affect everyone and the caretaker did not intervine with the very loud music that lasted for approximately 9 hours a day. We left a day early for the fact that we couldn't spend a 3rd day with listening to Journey songs for another full day and night. It's to bad because the location was great, close to everything. Bags of wood selling for 14 each and very little so we drove 5 minutes up the road and bought our wood at Canadian Tire for 8.99 per bag. Need better managing and it would be the perfect campground.

Stayed here for a few nights in the summer as part of a long family roadtrip. Campsite was busy but facilities were kept up and felt very safe. It was a good thing our site was along the outer ring, our large family tent would definitely not have fit in some of the inside spots! Would have been nice for a playground for families but there was a field to toss a ball around. Appreciated the nice and easy location.

A very nice spot along the red deer river, 10 minutes from downtown Drum. A bit of a steep access to the river for kayaking but very handy. Campground sees lots of traffic from across the country. I believe the Cdn Badlands group took over campground management in last few years. Please consider eliminating sites 21 and 24 as they are not true sites. Too crowded with those two sites. Please continue to upgrade water distribution system. The garden hose and series of on/off taps isn’t great. Bathroom and shower are reasonably well kept and clean. Enjoyed the quiet. Thank you

I liked how quiet this place was. We stopped in for a night to be able to go to the museum, after 2 weeks on a cross-country trip in very busy provincial parks. This was a nice break because we arrived mid-week, so the place was nearly empty and we got a break from people. The sites are small and there's very little privacy, but there's lots of shade and that was needed in the badlands heat. And it's a nice little spot tucked in the valley next to the highway. You can't beat the location. It's close to everything. This would be a great spot for groups or families travelling together who can spread out over a few sites. Facilities need a little updating and the electric hook-up is only 15 amp, so our power tripped out a few times. But overall it was a nice stay.

Not bad. Power was a bit of a "included with purchase" (may not work or may get overloaded with a fridge and water heater..) but. You are camping, plan accordingly. Sites were pretty reasonably sized and the website has good descriptions of each so you know what you're getting. Lots of open area to play/ride bikes. Quiet time wasn't really enforced but for the most part people were considerate. Would probably come back but there is quite a bit of camping in the area.

No level sites, power boxes are so far away you need the biggest extension power cord. I quickly checked the 4.4 stars reviews on google before booking. Just don't book here go somewhere else I wouldn't call this place a camping really bad experience

Beautiful spot along the river. Power, free drinking water, free showers, reasonable rates and a super friendly campground host. This campground was easy to get into and out of even with a fifth wheel. If I was in the area, I would definitely stay here again.

Our experience at the Badlands Campground was excellent. It was quiet with lots of large cottonwoods and a nice hiking trail to the town of Nacmine (which has a small convenience store :-) The sites are not huge, but ours was exactly as pictured, and everyone was generally quiet. There is a basic washroom and showers, and the electricity was adequate (even though our neighbours ran their AC despite it being strongly discouraged as it is only a 15 amp service). Yes, there is no playground but we saw half a dozen young kids having a great time biking on the roads, playing in the field, running around and just having a fun time. The campground host, Anna, was friendly and the washrooms and everything was neat and clean. We were there four nights and would strongly recommend it. It was exactly what we were looking for. The campground was what we were expecting it to be - not what another campground might be. We suggest that you read what it has and what it doesn't have, then decide if this is the place for you.

Based on previous reviews, I figured that I completely lucked out when I found this campsite for me and my friends. But I was honestly shocked upon getting to the campsite - that we had booked over two months in advance mind you - because our campsite looked nothing like the picture attached to it on the website. There was absolutely no privacy between campsites, and the campsites themselves were ridiculously tiny. Whenever I talked to the presumed owners of the campground; there was always an excuse or reason as to why the campsites were so small and why they didn’t match the pictures online… but I didn’t take a genius to figure out that each excuse felt like it was just being made up on the spot. We were told that the entire campground was booked up for the weekend which is why we couldn’t switch campsites for something further away and private (as our campground was directly next-door to people already settled... and we were hoping for a more private area) but for the five days we were there not a single night was entirely booked. Not to mention that the spot directly next to ours was not filled for a minute during our stay. I’m willing to admit that the nature of this campground is probably better suited for people camping with large groups or large families over the extension of multiple campgrounds... but it’s honestly probably worth looking for something with more reviews, better reviews, and even some thing more expensive. Technically, you get what you pay for which is why I’m giving it two stars instead of one; as well as The fact that I’m grateful that the people that we were neighbours with were friendly and didn’t mind us being a little loud sometimes. Overall I was relatively upset with this camping experience, and it started with the campsite itself. My apologies to the owners; besides the excuses that you kept providing us, you seemed like nice people. I just beg of you to put more honest pictures on your website so people at least know what they’re getting into. Cheers!
