Clean and well kept up. Bathrooms are a bit dated but very clean and well stocked. It's worth it to pay more for a creek access site, especially if you have kids that like to play in the water.

This place is so friendly The KOA staff that I've met is outstanding all of them are friendly they drive around in their golf carts and they're just really nice people I run into so many campers and everybody's friendly they love my dogs and nobody complains I mean you know it's just a different atmosphere Very pretty a lot of green areas lovely little ponds with ducks and fish That's kind of off the beaten path but very very beautiful 😳😞 Well here's a little sad update During the week I think I must have met just about every worker there. I've got a blind and deaf dog on a leash and then I have a little dog that loves dogs and loves running around and is very friendly. Most of the time I do not have him leashed I'm pointing this out because the workers were there I meant many people who are in their golf carts driving around and everybody loved the dog But It just so happened I was talking to somebody in their camper stopping by saying hi talking and petting their dog When a couple who was new came out of their camper and it was an older guy who had two dogs on a leash and they were big fat dogs. And he started screaming at the top of his lungs My dog Who Was unleashed and he's a small 16 lb dog went over there to say hi And he started freaking out I mean the dog my dog was very friendly with his dogs and he started screaming and waving his hands and I thought something was wrong with him He was screaming about leash laws and there's no leash there's no lesion get your dog out of here and he was freaking out There's also another dog that roams on the campground and he apparently belongs to the neighbors down the road Obviously this dog comes and goes and everybody loves him He's a very big dog but very docile and kind and as soon as you see him you know that he means no harm at all So that dog was over there by him too And he was yelling at me to get that dog on a leash and I told him he's not even my dog he's a campground dog Anyway people like that ruin it for everybody From that day I have not gone back to the KOA Having that incident really affected me in a negative way

I stayed at KOA for a week, and it was truly a little slice of heaven! Even with so many people around, I felt completely at peace. I stayed in one of the cozy cabins with my fur babies and loved every single minute of it. Being surrounded by mountains was breathtaking, and on the days it rained, I sat outside soaking in the calming sounds and fresh scent of nature—it was pure bliss. The staff here are absolutely wonderful! They’re constantly ensuring the park is clean and beautifully maintained, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Angela, the general manager, is incredible—she takes so much pride in this park and her team, and it truly shows in every detail. The mountains and the lake are nothing short of spectacular. I can’t wait to come back and experience it all over again!

Super clean cabins, friendly check in staff, nice sized pool, putt putt and pretty ponds. Huge campground and the road through the middle of it is a little busy so watch your dogs and kids. Beautiful drive into the campground, lots of deer. Also very close to Hiawassee. Nearby brewery has amazing food and beer. No activities were happening at the KOA while we were there which was a little disappointing. But really a wonderful stay.

Amazing vacation because of the excellent service and welcome of the staff. The sites with creek access are perfect. Keep in mind you are close to your neighbor but so worth the rushing sound of the creek while sitting under the shade tree. We were in site 49. From the moment we checked in we felt welcomed and they even had an escort to the site. No stress! They were quick to resolve an ant mound during our stay. They pick up your trash each morning which is a nice benefit! Thank you again for going above and beyond expectations!! We have been on cruises and stayed in hotels and it’s been a very long time to see staff that love what they do and love the customers! Thank you!
