We recently stayed at this campground and overall had a wonderful experience! Upon arrival, we noticed the campground sign was a bit hard to see due to some overgrown branches and a bit of sun fading over the years. Once we found it though, pulling in and parking was super easy. The owners were extremely kind and welcoming, even letting us borrow a couple of fishing poles so our two boys could fish in the nearby pond. They each caught a fish right away — such a special memory! The campground itself was very quiet, peaceful, and clean, and we loved watching all the deer that came through every morning. There are a couple of areas that could use some attention — the playground equipment is quite old and outdated, and the nature trail shown on the map is overgrown and not really usable at the moment. That said, the friendliness of the owners and the overall relaxing atmosphere made it a really enjoyable stay. With just a few updates — trimming the branches around the sign, refreshing the sign itself, updating the playground, and either maintaining or removing the trail from the map — this place would be absolutely perfect. We’d definitely come back and recommend it to others looking for a peaceful, family-friendly getaway. The fact that it’s just a 1 minute drive from Cumberland Mountain State Park where there is a lovely restaurant, plenty of playgrounds, hiking, boating and additional fishing made for a 5 star location as well.

I'm writing this review while we're here in our Class C for a few days. It's very peaceful and a shame that no one else is taking advantage of this nature spot. We've walked around the grounds which are very nice and spacious. We had to put a couple blocks under our wheels, but who hasn't done that before? It's not a resort but a beautiful nature spot. We use our own shower, so I can't comment on that. The store is a bit unorganized but, the owners were great to sit and chat with. There are no "permanent" RVs here. So, if you're a nature lover this is your spot. Oh yeah, unless you listen real hard you won't hear any traffic only the wind. It's beautiful here and if we ever come this way again we will definitely stop in.

Quiet, small well taken care of campground. Deer and ducks around. Lots of things to do close by. We have camped here twice now and have enjoyed the relaxing time away. The owners are very friendly and invited us for barbecue dinner on the holiday weekend. The restrooms are very nice and even smell nice and clean. Would definitely camp here again. I like to bike ride, but the roads near the campground are 45mph with no shoulder. I drove over near Tansi Lake to ride. Cherokee Trail around Lake Tansi was a fairly nice ride but I would have liked more views of the lake. The area is generally "mostly flat" as Google maps likes to say. A few small hills.

We stayed here 4 nights & really enjoyed the peace & quiet. This is not a fancy park/resort, but has everything you need. For $45/night, you have full hookups & can relax & watch the deer lay under the trees or run across the field. There are a few ducks that stay near the pond & if you’re lucky, you can see wild turkeys. The owners are really friendly & will help you if needed. We’d stay here again if in the area or if we need a stop along the way to another campground.

This place has all kinds of reviews about people’s dogs being off leash and that not being allowed, however when I stayed at this camp, the owner’s little rat dog was running around all over my space and pooping everywhere. I stepped in dog poop not once, but TWICE and once was barefoot… These people expect everyone to follow their rules but don’t give their guests the same courtesy.
