I'd have to say, that this place is a definite destination. The pool is natural, spring fed. Water is absolutely crystal clear. You can see turtles, catfish and some other small kind of fish. Beautiful pool. Definitely make a reservation for a lodge. We came just to see it. But it was absolutely beautiful.

Theyve just absolutely nailed it with this state park! I checked in with the lovely Sarah. So Patient, courteous and helpful, exactly what you'd expect from a Texas state park. She was just helpful from the beginning and once I checked in OMG! This part is amazing. The place itself is small but friendly and the springs you swim in are absolutely amazing. Well done, especially you Sarah. You made my day!

This is a great place to spend some time. We only stopped for one night on a road trip, but definitely would like to spend more time there! The campsite was level and nicely maintained. Bathrooms were clean and the showers worked well with plenty of hot water. The setting was rural enough to allow a beautiful sky view, which the coyotes in the distance also enjoyed.

Wonderful campground with a huge swimming area fed by the springs. Water was crystal clear and had lots of fish and turtles. It's refreshing at 72 degrees and perfect for a hot summer day. The pool area is over an acre so it's huge! Perfect place to relax and recharge. Staff were friendly and helpful. Already looking forward to my next visit!

What a delightful state park! We were finally able to make reservations as the RV campsites have been under construction for the last couple of years. We made a reservation for one night, on our way west. We arrived after dark, yet the after-hours instructions and gate code were easy to navigate. The site was perfect. It was a nice level pull-through site, with excellent connections for electricity and water. There is a dump site for grey and black water. We also had a lovely covered picnic area, and the sites are not too close together. The view in every direction is magical in all the ways that West Texas promises. Balmorhea pool is spectacular with crisp, clear water and lovely trees and landscaping. I can't believe this amazing park is so inexpensive. We will be back!
