Great campground! Roomy sites. Pond with geese and very relaxing. Cute beach and swim area. (Those that complain about the pond...it's a pond, not a pool.) Cute cabins. Very quiet and welcoming. Gas and diesel on site!

I am only giving this 1 star because 0 is not an option. We have been staying at this campground for 10 years and it has steadily gone downhill every year due to poor management. The swimming area used to have an accessible island that the kids loved to explore, which is now so overgrown that you're barely able to see the roof of the pavilion. The "beach" has more algae than water & more goose poop than sand. Restroom facilities are disgusting. I have never been more disrespected by management. We tried to resolve an issue and were told "their staff doesn't make mistakes" and basically called liars. We have continued hoping that we could stick it out until new management, but unfortunately, we will never be back. The KOA name is the only thing keeping this campground from closing. It is more empty every year, and 30+ open campsites on a holiday weekend speaks for itself.

This was a 5 day stay while in Waterloo for a family event. We are in a B camper, so wanted to use the showers and rest room. They were disgusting. The exact same clump of hair remained in the shower stall for 6 days even though I went to management and asked for the rest room to be cleaned. The sinks were dirty, all around nasty conditions that did not change much for the 6 days we were there. No toilet paper in the men's room the first day. Clearly they are not cleaned every day. In addition, the "swimming beach" was an algae rimmed joke. I would have been better off staying in the relative's driveway and saving my money.

Great place, great people but don’t plan on being able to control the water temperature in the showers. It’s the end of July and 85 degrees out. The shower water temperature is scorching hot! It’s a push button activation so the user doesn’t have a choice on the water temperature. I called the front desk, and the workers called maintenance. Maintenance told the front desk to tell me there’s nothing they can do about it. So I guess, another night of scorching hot shower.

I just completed a 27 day stay there yesterday, 6/27/25, my entire stay was fantastic. The staff is incredibly helpful. The location is beautiful. The amenities are wonderful. There is plenty of space for camping, as well as a great variety of different spot sizes to accommodate many different rigs. My stay was great! I will be back!
