Banbury Green RV & Camping Resort
Overview
Banbury Green RV & Camping Resort offers a peaceful escape along the shores of Skaha Lake in the heart of the South Okanagan. Unlike high-density commercial parks, this property emphasizes a natural camping experience with plenty of shade and space. It has been a family-run destination for decades, maintaining a quiet atmosphere that prioritizes relaxation and scenic beauty over modern resort frills. It is a place where the sounds of the lake and the wind through the trees take center stage.
Location & Surroundings
Situated in the small community of Kaleden, BC, the park is nestled between lush fruit orchards and the sparkling waters of Skaha Lake. The property features tiered sites that provide excellent views of the water and the surrounding rugged cliffs. Its position directly on the Kettle Valley Rail Trail makes it a prime spot for those who want to explore the region’s history and natural landscape without needing a vehicle. The geography creates a micro-climate that is perfect for warm summer days and cool lake breezes.
Amenities & Park Features
The park focuses on traditional outdoor comforts, offering sites with power and water hookups alongside more rustic tenting areas. Visitors have access to a private beach area perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or launching a kayak into the calm morning waters. The facilities include the following features:
- Clean washrooms and coin-operated showers
- A communal dishwashing station for campers
- Mature trees providing significant shade for most sites
- Fire pits for evening gatherings
While the park does not offer full sewer hookups at every site, it provides a sani-dump station for guest convenience.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Adventure is always within reach, as the park provides direct access to the KVR Trail for world-class cycling and walking. A short drive north brings you to Penticton, while the south leads to the prestigious wineries of Okanagan Falls. Outdoor enthusiasts often visit the nearby Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park for world-renowned rock climbing or spend the day boating on the lake. The region is also famous for its seasonal fruit stands, where travelers can pick up fresh Okanagan peaches and cherries.
Who This Park Is Best For
This resort is ideal for travelers seeking a quiet lakeside retreat rather than a bustling resort environment with loud music or crowded pools. Because of the park's unique layout and narrow roads, it is best suited for small to mid-sized RVs, camper vans, and traditional tent campers. Families who enjoy outdoor recreation like cycling, swimming, and hiking will find the direct trail and beach access perfect for an unplugged vacation in British Columbia.

THE BEST! Just got home and can't wait to be back!! Very family friendly, great staff, huge sites and very affordable. 10min. drive to Penticton and walking distance to fruit stands and you-pick fruit farms. The bay was shallow enough to trust my little ones to play, and the water was warm. Just what we needed to relax and rejuvenate. Highly recommended to anyone wanting a quiet escape.

I love this campground. Super quiet, relaxing and also beautiful. The ducks slept next to our tent. The bathrooms are super clean and the showers have hot water. Here you can live a different experience. I recommend it and would love to return.
