Bandon / Port Orford KOA Journey
Is this the Enchanted Forest? This KOA sure looks like it, with 8 acres of native Oregon trees.
Enjoy incredible camping in the woods along the beautiful southern Oregon coast. Sit back and relax with your family at a secluded campsite beneath pine and alder trees surrounded by huckleberry and blackberry bushes. Add a 1/2-acre playground, heated pool, 14-foot-long hot tub, hot showers, and you have a magical setting. It's only a short drive to the beach, where you'll discover why this area is known as "Oregon's best-kept secret", with lighthouses, tide pools and sandy shores. With Floras Lake and the Rogue River nearby, numerous activities, from crabbing to windsurfing, are at the tips of your toes. Pool open: May 25 - September 14. Max pull thru: 80 feet. Your hosts: Michael and Cathy Davis.

We loved our stay. The pull thru space was excellent, the setting in the trees was perfect, and the park was clean and well maintained. We will be back!

Overall, coming to the last KOA in Cave Junction, this was top notch! It was better-- older. Of course, the bathrooms weren't as clean. The showers were too close together and smelled... unwell. But again, it is an older KOA. The pool and jacuzzi were perfectly tempered and kept clean! It was even surprising to see a playground and swing. If you're looking for a three-two night stay this is perfect!

This place had very nice people for our stay but the rest was sadley lacking. It was so stressful we left a day early. For as close as you are crammed together they charge a premium for not premium sites. The place is noisy. The road noise is bad but that can not be helped by the owners I suppose. The quiet hours need to be better enforced by having staff walk through the camp ground in the hour after quite time. Not driving a noisy cart around. We had someone playing what sounded like a TV or radio program and talking loud and laughing quite a while after 10. The sites are so close together that if you are in a tent the tent next door could be only about 7 to 10 feet from each other, so loud snoring and babys crying in the night is like they are in your tent. There were roads on both sides of our site. The tent pad was only about 5 feet away from the south side road with no vegetation to as least block a bit of noise, or view in. The ladies bath / shower room is all together and so steamy and wet your glasses steam up completely as soon as you walk in. Everything is wet even the TP. The vent fan is a tiny way under powered house bathroom vent fan. The door slams shut so hard it could easily break any fingers that happen the be in the way. I would not recommend this place.

We've stayed in many KOAs over the years, but this one will always stand ahead above the others! The entire staff should be commended for their professionalism and hard work. The women who run the office are absolutely the best in the business! The young man who does maintenance is extremely hardworking and professional. We now have a favorite destination on the west coast.

Ok so some of the sites look super nice but you don't know what you get until you get there. We paid a lot for a tiny patch of grass between two roads, no trees, just a glorified lawn. And it cost just as much as the nice spots surround by trees. Would not recommend unless you get to pick your site.
