Please forgive me for this review. I do not normally even do reviews. And have never had to review a KOA like this before.. This is not an appropriate KOA. Unfortunately, their rules about the age of RVs that are allowed to be in the park are not followed. We saw a terrible situation at site number 69. Inappropriate RV and vehicle, dogs chained in the back of the car, 2 big trash cans, full of trash beside the RV . Possibly a homeless thing (Please help find somewhere for these people to live, young children, very sad, they need help). And lots of full timers that live there. Some of those full time RVs are not in their 10 year “rule” of this KOA. As far as we know, KOA Campgrounds are not designated to be full-time campgrounds nor for possible homeless. That is why we camp at KOA’s anytime we can, and always refer to our RV friends! Again, very sorry for negative review, But also, the first thing we noticed when we pulled up was the grass has not been mowed around the office/ pool. Plus the grass around the supposedly lodging (where the blinds in the windows were all messed up) is as also very overgrown. Very un appealing lodges. They tell you to be aware of rattlesnakes! And who might possibly be hiding in that overgrown, not mowed grass!?! We will not return and we will not refer this Banning campground. KOA corporate needs to check into this situation. Or whoever owns this Campground..

A homeless broke into the bathroom while my husband was taking a shower and he just had to stand there naked while the police chased him out of the bathroom , the bathrooms haven’t been cleaned in the 4 days we’ve been here so far, there was a night we listened to mariachi music until 3am from someone’s camper so the quiet times are irrelevant, the younger girl at front desk has the personality and customer service of a rock. The older lady was very kind and polite. Pool isn’t heated so prepare yourself for that lol, dog park seems nice. Super nice view of the mountains !

I wouldn't recommend this campsite for PCT hikers. It's very loud at night being so close to the road. The office hours are very inconsistent and the charging is very slow. On the plus side, laundry is affordable and the showers are nice.

This place may be great if you arrive during office hours with a normal check in. Sadly that was not our experience. They advertise late check in, which was the reason we went there. When we arrived late in the evening to the late arrival desk.. we discovered they do not provide the bathroom or shower codes after hours. Many parks we have stayed at during our RV travels have a very smooth late arrival process where everything you need is provided in an envelope or via a QR code with online payment methods and info is emailed immediately. That was not the case here. After a long day on the road we arrived tired expecting to settle in. Instead we were left without access to basic facilities and had to decide whether to keep driving or pay more than $60 simply to park the RV for a few hours. Late check in should mean you can actually use the park facilities when you arrive. Unfortunately that was not our experience. 1 star for a late check in system that does not work for travellers arriving late.

Great KOA tucked into not the nicest looking town. We have been here twice now and would recommend for an overnighter. Really nice people and super clean bathrooms.
