Stayed in an Oceanside cabin here on a recent trip to Acadia National Park, and my wife, dogs, and I loved it. The cabin is cozy and spacious, right on the water, with a propane grill and a fire pit... Literally all we needed. There's also a gas station nearby thats within walking distance so it's easy to get more firewood, drinks, whatever without having to drive away. We did have some issues with hot water in that it was fairly nonexistent, but we worked around it and it wouldn't be too big of a deal if it's warmer out. When we come back up this way, we'll definitely look at staying here again.

We stayed here on a recent trip to Acadia. The cabin was absolutely perfect: clean, warm, & well stocked with kitchen and bathroom necessities. The campground had a lot of activities for kids and everything seemed well kept. Only a 15 mon drive from Bar Harbor and the entrance to Acadia. We LOVED our stay here. We would definitely stay here again!

We have been full time for 5 years. We are here doing the North east color tour. We tow a car hauler and booked their big rig friendly site for $135 a night. Once we got there they said they couldn't accommodate us. While there was plenty of places to park our car hauler they said no we weren't allowed. Take it to Walmart they suggested...... We were treated like second rate citizens. I will never return again to this campground. Smugglers den or Narrows too were both incredibly accommodating and kind. Choose to give them your money. They explained to me that this is a corporate owned campground which makes complete sense as to why they don't care at all. When trying to make our reservations as well, we called at 7:00 at night for after hours and the gentlemen who answered the phone was rude and not at all helpful. STAY AWAY from this campground. To many other good ones to waste your time and money here.

We loved this camp ground. The employees were so kind when we checked in! However, the woman cooking lobsters was extremely rude. As well as the woman making breakfast the next morning. Maybe just a bad day for both. Food was great. We were also 15 minutes behind leaving as we had an issue with one of our slides. We had an employee waiting on our campsite 5 minutes after 11:00am for us to leave. We get checkout is at 11 but to be sitting there watching us was odd. We were out of there by 11:15. By the time we were finished hooking up our truck he was already done checking our site. It seemed unnecessary and only doing it to make a point. Great spot and amenities. I wish they would enforce the speed limit a little more. We witnessed a few close calls.

One of my happy places. Amazing views, love being able to wander the tidal areas during low tide. Great location for access to Acadia and Bar Harbor area. Windy at times right on the ocean, fair warning. Good sized sites, could be a bit more level. Bath houses, laundry could be nicer/cleaner. Big dog park, but it was frequently nasty from folks not cleaning up after their pets. Shame on them, but the campground should have someone do doggy duty more frequently.

We visit Acadia every year in the early spring and really enjoy staying at the KOA cabins. They treat their guests (both human and dogs) wonderfully. The cabins very in view and amenities. We love staying in the ones that overlook the water, but you need to reserve those months in advance because they are very popular. That said, it's worth the wait to sit by the fire as the sun disappears behind the tree line.

Beautiful ocean view sites. We went off season and it was quiet but they put us next to another camper and then someone else next to us, so 3 in a row when the whole strip was empty. Ground bees at the dog park with lots of poop and the door got stuck. A little over priced in our opinion.

Decided to stay at Oceanside because they open earlier than other campgrounds, in Bar Harbor. $104. to camp for a night. First site is a mud hole that we almost get stuck in, second site, can't use our awnings, because we can't tie them down. There is goose poop absolutely everywhere. I know it can't be helped, but rake it off the sites. The one saving grace is, I'm going to get a hot shower. Nope. No heat in the bathroom, no hot water. The guy says we're going to fix that. Great, I'm half wet, in a freezing bathroom. I don't have time to wait for your maintenance that should have been done before you charged $104. to camp for a night.

This was my first KOA experience, and I was very happy. I called at about 4pm looking for a site for the night. They accommodated me quite well. My site was what they called a hybrid site, it could work for rent or a very small camper, like a pop up, or a tear drop, or a van. My site had this little kitchen area that had a nice roof with an overhang on it. That was awesome. (If someone from the campground is reading this, make more of those!!!!) It was raining, and that gave me a place to sit and not get wet. I was very happy. The bathrooms were clean, and conveniently located. The hot shower was nice, and it was free. I would definitely recommend this one to a friend.

We had a wonderful stay at the Bar Harbor KOA Campground. The location is unbeatable and it is well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. The campground offers plenty of activities for all ages. They also have nice bathrooms and a very well-stocked camp store. The sites are nice and offer a great mix of options, from tent camping to RV hookups and even cabins. We stayed in one of the waterfront view sites, but even if you are not they have a seated viewing area on the water which is a great spot for sunsets. It’s a close drive to Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor, which made exploring the area super easy. Most of my pics have family and I don’t really like to post those but this was a misty morning view but shows view. Overall, the Bar Harbor KOA exceeded our expectations! it’s tied as one of the best campgrounds we’ve ever been to, right alongside the one in the Redwoods in Crescent City, CA. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat or a fun family getaway with lots to do, this campground is a perfect choice. We’ll definitely be back!

Clean. Beautiful views. Spaces were a little tight but normal for a KOA. Very quiet at night. Staff was great and friendly. Prices at cafe were a little high but food was good. Great location to visit Acadia.

Overall we had a great time. Friendly people and great location 20 or so minutes from Acadia. Couple complaints: we paid for a “premium tent site” that said it was waterfront (it was not) and advertised for a sand tent site (it was in fact gravel). We still appreciated being pretty close to the water, and definitely was secluded vs. the majority of the place. But expected more than what was paid for.

Nice place to camp. If you get lucky you could probably get a spot by the ocean. We were about 3 streets up. Staff is very friendly. We made reservations with there van to be taken to Bar Harbor and then be picked back up. Drivers are really friendly too.Took the Oli's Trolley to Cadillac Mountain and back 2 hour trip. Spent one day walking around Bar Harbor and shopping. Had a Great Time. Went to Acadia National Park.
